Good Sunday Morning, Everyone,

I did some maintenance on this computer this morning and it is working much better (yay). It's an old laptop that Edward had for emergency use at the university and is a PC (whereas I have a MacBook, much less complicated to use!).
We all had a good night, despite all those cats on the porch in their sleeping bags, yacking away. I don't know how they are going to compete in the final events of the swim meet today!!
All seems well with Rusty. He came down from his blip 200 yesterday (trip caused?) and is a bit high this morning, but within his normal AMPS numbers. For the beans today will be a nice relaxing day before the paddle on the Oswegatchie River tomorrow. We'll do some walking, some swimming (if the kitties don't hog all the water), some chores. It's another beautiful day: cool morning (50 degrees), going up to upper 70s. But I fear that the weather is going to change for tomorrow's paddle: it's supposed to be in the upper 80s!!! with showers and thunderstorms. We'll see. The area we will be in is a long way from Camp.

Everyone have a good day. Healing vines and positive thoughts for all kitties who need them. Thinking of Rocket.

Ella

Hi all beans: the kitties are all here and we had a great night swimming around in the moonbeams and practicing for tomorrow. We got the swim lanes all marked out and the final events will begin soon: freestyle; butterfly; backstroke; sidestroke; breaststroke. Last night we had a great cookout. And a new drink: New England Crabtinis invented by Gracie. And some scrumptious new desserts created by Tess. I am so glad that all my pals could come to Camp for our first swim meet. Don't worry about them. We have kitty lifeguards on duty: Tobey volunteered after he competes in the freestyle, and Mannie will lifeguard after he competes in the butterfly. We are having fun!

Sounds like you're having a great time! And New England Crabtini? Sounds intriguing. What's in it?

Re: 7/10 Rusty AMPS 139

Still steady blues Rusty? A little green in there will help you swim faster!
What a beautiful night! I lubs swimming under the stars. I'll be time keeper, the water yesterday really messed up my fur! -- Tess

p.s. her are some pix from yesterday's heats.

Re: 7/10 Rusty AMPS 139

Rusty, sounds like all the kitties had lots of fun at Camp Stu swimming and such. PS i love the photos from the swim meet Ann.

It sounds beautiful at camp, what area is it in if you don't mind me asking? I hope the weather holds out tomorrow for your paddle and have fun at Camp Ella and Rusty!

Great pics, Tess (& Ann!). The games are going on as Edward and I watch from a distance. Tess, I'm glad you're the time-keeper. That's rather important in swimming races!! I'm not sure that the other kitties even thought of it. Back later, we have company coming to watch the swim meet!

Sounds like you and Edward are having a nice time amd so glad Rusty came down. There must be something in the water, as a few of our kitties are running high lately, Maggie, too! thanks for visiting our condo and checking out Maggie's pics, thanks to Karrie's help. This is just a one-time use camera. I still need a digital.

Tess, those pics are so cute. I can almost visualize our kitties doing their thing at the swim meet with those pics!

Hey Rusty, we sure are all having a great time at the swim meet at Camp Stu. I am even trying out for the finals for the breast stroke! And the New England Crabtinis are out of this world and Tess' desserts, too.

Re: 7/10 Rusty AMPS 139, +5.5 104, PMPS 102

Hi again, We had a nice day at Camp. We took Rusty outside in his harness and leash (first time for us. Phoebe trained him well with the harness and he was very patient while I was putting it on him). We didn't want to let him roam outside here because there are too many people (tourists at the motel next door) and animals about, and also because we were afraid that the first place he would want to go would be underneath the cabin and we sure didn't want that (it is strewn with junk and old house machinery). Anyway, we got down the porch stairs and the first place he headed was underneath the cabin!!! But then he had a nice time exploring the lawn that leads down to the lake. It was a successful outing. And afterwards Rusty seems much more at home in the cabin and is spending more time on the porch, watching what is going on.
Tomorrow he'll be here alone all day while we are out on the paddle. I hope he doesn't "save" his food until we get home.

The kitty swim meet went very well. Rusty will tell you about it.

Ella
p.s.: the venue was Camp Stu on Indian Lake in the Adirondack Park of NY State.

Hey kitties! What a great swim meet we had. So many participants and such close finishes. Tess had a hard time keeping up with the winning times!! So much so that we had to declare many ties, so, like the Tour de France, everyone within a few seconds of the winning time got the same time. Here are the events and the kitties who swam them:

Freestyle: Tobey, Leo, Gabby, Rusty, Shadow, Tuffy, Junior
Butterfly: Mannie, Tray, Raja, Willie, Curry, Gizmo, Donny, Henry
Backstroke: Binks, BigMac, Lanky, Teddy, Tarragon, Trixie, Champ
Breaststroke: Maggie, Gracie, Tommy, Zoe, J.D., Victoria, Simon
Sidestroke: Moonie, Blackie, Luna, Zoe, Do Lou, Champ, Jazzy

Thanks to the participants and to all the other kitties who turned out to cheer them on. We had fun. Now let's eat!!

What a great, feel good condo today!!! I'm glad Rusty came down and that he got a chance to try out his leash and harness at Camp Stu.

The pictures from Ann and the descriptions from you, Ella, are really great...I needed the laugh!! What a wonderful day in LL at Camp Stu.
