It will be OK to leave water in the bowl until you get up Tuesday morning, about 1/4 of the normal amount of food with the insulin early Tuesday morning. Typically do not give glucose with the anesthesia. The cats are usually ready to be released in a couple of hours and can be back on their food and water that afternoon. If your cat is a stabilized diabetic, without other complications, being off food/water for a few hours should not be that big of a problem. See you tomorrow and will try to answer anything else of concern."

Roni and Moonie said:Hey Natalia--We have had a lot of dentals here in our house--Guess the no eating after midnight is over & new techniques are being done--My only suggestion is ask vet NOT to give her Covenia (a shot that lasts 2 weeks) as an antibiotic(it has been dangerous for some cats) Clavamox is the AB most of us get for dentals.
And if she needs any extractions, ask for the buprenex as pain relief--Get the one you put inside the cheek, it works well & not any danger like the Metacam for pain (which has also been a danger for some cats)..
Will be sending the Most easy dental vibes to Enana, and calming ones to you!
Most cats do very well from the dentals--Dont worry we will take care of you!!
Big Hugs from us!
