Good Morning Everyone,

Looks like Rusty is still clearing his little bounce. Still can't figure out what caused it. Nothing has changed, but a cat is a cat and that's that! He had a good test, good shot, 2 sittings of breakfast, a nice brushing, but he didn't want to play today. He senses that we're about to go out on a paddle, I think. He gets to eat out of his automat, since we won't be back until about +10.

It's a nice morning: cool (55 degrees), sunshine. Showers expected this afternoon, but we'll probably be home before they get here. We're paddling on an interesting lake--Rainbow Lake--with an esker down the middle, dividing it into 2 long halves. There are a few breaks in the esker, so you can get from one side of the lake to the other. We'll also explore a river that is the lake's inlet.
This evening our friends, who are the coordinators of Canoe Outing, are taking us out to dinner as a thank-you for helping out with registration and for leading trips. It will be at the student-run restaurant at Paul Smiths College (one of the degree programs there is hotel and restaurant management and culinary arts) (the other is forestry).

Everyone have a good day. We send healing vines to all of our kitties and beans who are in need of them.

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148

Good morning Ella.....remember me.

If this is a bounce it is not a bad number at all.
Rusty will have a nice poke-less day.

Have a great time on your paddle.....sounds like a lot of fun.

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148

sounds like you have a lovely day planned ahead. Enjoy!
Hopefully Rusty will be down to awesome #s when you get back

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148

Much better start to the day. Ah, the mystery of cats, I think we all need to get crystal balls.

Rusty! You alone? We got KTSS today, the Mannie wants to go rafting? What's that? -- Tess

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148

Sounds like a really nice time and day for you both. Cats do sense it when we're leaving. As soon as I start getting ready to go out, Maggie perks up and asks for cuddles or fuds. Thanks for correcting the Monojets syringes link yesterday that Rusty sent me. That will teach me to proofread better, bad enough that I am computer challenged. Scritches to Rusty.

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148

Hope you have a beautiful day on the lake--Moonie has "they are going out" radar!!!
Sometimes she hides in her office, or just ignores us--
Wish that number today was Moonie's bounce!!-Have a beaautiful Fursday-with love & Hugs from us!

Re: 7/28 Rusty AMPS 148, +9 155

Hi again,
Rusty has regressed with regard to his automat: he ate nothing the whole time we were out today! (He did so well with it while we were at Canoe Outing all day for 5 days.) And his numbers just are not normal numbers for him. I haven't given fur shots, so I think it must be the warm weather, or maybe he has something (his appetite when we are home is excellent, but he's sleeping a lot. He probably slept through his normal "lunch" time.)

Well, we'll see. We're going out to dinner tonight with our friends and Rusty will get his PMPS 15 or 20 minutes early.

Back later with the continuation of this report. Hoping all is well in LL.

Hi Ella - I hope you had a good paddle today - it sounds interesting, and fun.

Bummer on the feeder - I bet it's just the warmer weather, I know all my cats are eating less, sleeping more... well, except for Mannie who eats no matter what. Funny how he senses that you are going to go o a paddle...

Enjoy your dinner! Nothing better than good times with friends over a nice dinner. :-D

Hi again,
Rusty came down again this evening. He was flat, middle blue all day. Then, about an hour before PMPS, he got this sudden burst of energy. He tore around the living room, playing vigorously with all of his toys, batting the bell ball out of his puzzle box and chasing it all over the downstairs, etc. Then he had his dinner and shot 20 minutes early because we were going out to dinner. And at bedtime his number is a normal 96! Very happy about that.

We had a lovely dinner at the student-run St. Regis Cafe on the campus of Paul Smiths College. The culinary arts students prepare the menu, cook the food, bake the pastry and the bread, serve at the tables, and do all the accounts. The restaurant overlooks Lower St. Regis Lake and is a great place to relax. The food was excellent. We had a nice time.

The paddle today was great, very relaxing with soft breezes. Sunny and warm, but not too humid or too hot.

Good evening to you all,

Ella & Rusty

Yummy on the supper! That sounds like a lot of fun.

Glad you had a great paddle. Maybe Rusty just decided he needed a sleeping day since he didn't have to worry about pokies. Tarragon has days where he sleeps the whole day, especially in this heat. Glad Rusty finally gave some green.

Have a great weekend!
