hi all,
quick update on Rocket....
i have changed some of his meds and see if that will help with his throwing up issue....he ate on his own at amps but this is before the Baytril....

amps 230
+2 180

DH is picking me up at work at lunch so i can go feed Rocket....

i sent an email to his vet with what has happened all weekend....she said she will call me when she is done her morning apts....

my stomach is in knots here....

the Baytril maybe causing his tremors.....the pheno may not be working properly....

i can cry at the drop of a pin here....

please please pray for him....

as usual i've had very little sleep....got up at 3.30 am to give him the pepcid as it needs to be far apart from the Baytril which he gets at 6.45 am......

Hi guys .. all I can tell you is that you guys are definitely in our thoughts and prayers .. hoping things get easier and that rocket starts feeling better soon ... :YMHUG:

So sorry for what you are going through!! Praying hard for Rocket everyday--We all instinctively panic at any sign of illness with our furbabies--It's just who we are, but try to be positive, he has improved in the last few days & You & DH are such great beans--Hugs & love from us! We feel your pain!

went home to check on Rocket...he ate NOTHING all morning.... :sad: :sad: :sad: :cry: :cry:

i syringe fed him enough food to tie him over until i get home from work...

this is upsetting as i don't know how it will be tomorrow....

vet called...

results:
urine culture did not show a thing....no kidney infection or bladder infection....which means....the infection could be somewhere else :cry: she was sort of hoping it would be either....but since it's Rocket and nothing is ever easy with him....that's the results...

i told her about his lack of appy...he had eaten before i left...on his own...i'm going ot email her back now and see what she has to say....

she is leaning more on the tremors due to the lowering of the pred to help with this infection but could be affecting his brain for the possible tumor....

we will see where the next couple of days takes us...she wants full reports daily....she will extend the Baytril (as originally she had given me 8 days worth) for 2-3 weeks at which point she will recheck bloodwork and urine culture....

that said

if nothing improves (in a week) then she says it is all about his QOL and if it's not there then i have to start thinking about......

better stop here before i collapse crying at work

Please know we are all praying for you and Rocket. Is there any way you can take some time off from work, or do half-days so you can be with him?

i'm new at work...this week is month end and tight deadlines....i could NEVER take the time off work....

i'm beyond upset....all i can think of doing is taking a taxi each lunch to go home and have the taxi wait for me while i go and feed Rocket....

Oh Claudia,

Many hugs and prayers to you and Rocket. How awful! Could you tell the folks at work that one of your kids is really sick? I mean, you don't have to tell them that your kid has 4 legs and a tail.

Praying for you and Rocket all the time....I totally get the drop of a pin thing, and am sorry you guys are going thru this. Praying, Praying, Praying.
