I posted this on FB...thought you might want to know....
I know some of you are not on FB and are still praying for Rocket....thought you might want to know how he is doing....

Talk about mixed signals...last night....though morbid it may sound...I had a small talk ("the talk") with Rocket....and I told him I would do what he wants me to do....then i proceeded to brush him and he was purring away...when i stopped he wanted more...so I kept hugging/kissing him....he got annoyed and somewhat cranky at that...then he almost attacked me...so i told him i would let him be and... left the room and went into the kitchen...he followed me...
he sat on the floor in the living room next to his nanners....so rather than crying my eyes out i started to clean (yeap...at 10:30 pm) and i found a string on the floor and when i picked it up (it was near Rocket) he batted at it...then i thought...he may want to play....i saw on the floor with him and played with him and the string for about 2 mins....
then he licked the nanners and sort of fell asleep while i finished cleaning....
i felt happy about that...but i still had to syringe feed him the rest of the night...
at 3.30 am i got up to give him the pepcid and at 4.22 am he wanted his fluids....so i got up and by AMPS 189 (5 am) i presented him with food on his dish...to my surprise he ate it all....
then again ate on his own at 6.15 am.....then at 6.30 it was the dreaded Baytril....so before he stopped eating i gave him a small snack to which he licked it but i knew he was probably full....7 am the bupe and tested his +2=196 (going up)....and out the door for me....
i will go home at lunch....DH has agreed to pick me up at work and drive me there and back....though he his not happy about it...he said today is the only day he will do it but tomorrow he won't/can't.....
we will see how he is when i get there.....
i also reduced his insulin to 1.5u cause with his appy and not knowing how much he would eat and i hope i made the right decision....

update on Rocket again...
went home for lunch...and to my shock...Rocket had EATEN most of his food i left out!!! not sure what time he ate....he didn't seem interested in either dish i presented to him...so i gave him a little food via syringe...not a lot...enough to keep him going until i get home from work (another 4 hrs)....he came out of the spare room when he heard my voice....
taking it all in...and not taking anything for granted.....
please continue to pray for us...for him....
