Good Day to all!

Morgaine was higher than usual today with a 186 at AMPS. I knew she might be there as she was higher than usual last night at +4. Maybe she is upset that the family will be leaving tomorrow AM. She has finally warmed up to them, well my sis in law. She has been hanging out in the living room with all of us but she has yet to allow my brother near her. She did allow my sis in law to pet her. It is kind of humorous to watch my brother attempt to get her to allow him near her. She has done this before, many years ago, when they visited. My brother loves her though.

We will return to normal tomorrow and then I can see how things go. I have been grateful that Morgaine's numbers have been pretty steady and so good, for the most part. I am glad I have held the dose at 3.00 units as I think it has been a decent dose for her. May want to tweak it a bit but I want to see how things go after the family leaves. I did switch her syringe to Relion today as I got over to Walmart and couldn't resist the price. I find that all of the brands I have used have tiny air bubbles that are stubborn to get rid of. Does anyone know who makes Relion? I like their packaging, similar to BD. So far I have tried BD, Monoject, GNP (I think that is the brand) and Monoject. I have settled on the i/2 inch needle because of her thick fur. I am not really noticing a big difference. In my 47 years with diabetes, I always used BD so I have those on hand anyway.

I am babbling a bit so I will bid you all a good day and evening and I will be back tonight. With an AMPS of 186, Morgaine should not have a day with concerns of going too low. I will, of course, check her later in the day but this seems like a good time to give her little ears a break.

Re: 8/18 Morgaine AMPS 186

Morgaine got the day off from ear pokes except for her pre shot tests. She was 186 at AMPS and 136 at PMPS. I was out with family and she appreciated her little break. We shared dinner of chicken with kitty who finally has accepted that she IS part of this family. The chicken really helped and now we will return to our normal schedule as my brother and sis in law fly out at 7 AM.
