For those Old Timers who remember KT and Buckwheat ... Buckwheat passed away on July 31. I came across this today while reading his SS, which KT always kept up to date. Buckwheat was a Lantus Land legend. He will be sadly missed. KT has not been on the Board in a long time, but she was one of those who helped me so much with Bear Man back in our early days here. I am so saddened to hear that "Greenwheat" is gone.

I remember KT & Buckwheat, from our first time around. Thanks for posting this, Linda.

I will always remember the photo of Buckwheat with the blue nose. What a wonderful and beautiful cat.

It always saddens me to read of passing of our beloved kitties, even though I am relatively new in LL and do not know these wonderful kitties and their beans. I do know how much everyone here helps us and that we couldn't do it without the loving kindness of everyone in LL. Sending best thoughts to Buckwheat and KT. Buckwheat will be met by many old and new friends at the bridge. o:-)
 
The photo Dyana posted reminded me of the time D/Noisy created a "romance novel" cover featuring Handsome Buckwheat . . .
(I can't remember the book title. . .) . . . some of the fun we made to relieve the stresses. . .
 
I too remember Buckwheat and KT.....i loved his pictures too....he reminded me so much of Bear Man....the poses and the beautiful face.....

Gosh, I just have to say he was one beautiful cat and he always looked great with the blue or green nose that KT would add. :-D
KT made me feel welcome when I came to FDMB and her posts often made me smile. I am very sad to learn Buckwheat earned his wings. My heart goes out to KT. ((((Hugs))))
 
I want to extend my sympathies to KT and all of Buckwheat's family. You all have the most handsome guardian angel that side of Rainbow Bridge.
 
So sorry to hear about your beautiful kitty, Buckwheat. It's so sad losing one of these precious babies. My thoughts and condolences go out to you.

I was so saddened to see this. KT did the best job managing BG with food I've ever seen, she had it down to a science. Her big Bucky will be missed.
 
Fly free, handsome Buckwheat. We never met, but I was intrigued by your blue nose when I first saw your picture. KT, thank you and Buckwheat for being an inspiration to so many LLers. We are a chain with many links, each one connecting to the one before and the one after. May your wonderful memories of your kitty sustain you until you meet again.

One by one they leave us - but they leave us with so many wonderful memories. I'm so sorry that Buckwheat has left but what a group must have been waiting to greet him at The Bridge - so many of our old-timers to welcome him.

My heart goes out to you, KT, in your sadness. But what wonderful memories are left with all of us.

Reading Buckwheat has passed has filled me with such sadness.
Linda, thank you for letting us know. Buckwheat... I especially liked calling him Greenwheat whenever I saw his nose turn green! :mrgreen:
Sigh... LL has certainly lost another one of it's legends.

(((KT))) Buckwheat will be missed. I remember him well from our LL times. He certainly was greeted at the Bridge from many of our oldtimers. Fly free.
