I accidentally (or maybe it was on purpose  - I'm getting very tired dealing with the bubbles in the ReliOn syringes) took the fat off of his 1u last night and his AMPS show it. So after about a full minute I got the bubbles out and gave him a f1.0. We'll see....

I did finally see him poo last evening :-D and it was formed!! (He's been battling diarrhea and FortiFlora appears to have kicked in).

Re: 9/13 Jesse AMPS 133-boo

Good morning! We have had the same diarrhea issues and psyllium has kicked it as well. It is a lot cheaper than fortiflora, so I thought I would mention it to you. You can buy it at Walmart for $3 for a bottle of 100 pills. Just be sure to get the psyllium that is 100% husks. I just break open a capsule and add it to the food twice a day.

Have a great day!!

Re: 9/13 Jesse AMPS 133-boo

I was losing my patience with the bubbles too and I finally found a way that cures them 99% of the time. Before inserting the syringe into the vial, I mash the plunger all the way down as hard as I can . So far that's been working.

Re: 9/13 Jesse AMPS 133-boo

That is beautiful! I just looked at his blog, and what a sweetie. He is going to be so grateful to be cared by you. Nice day for Boo.

Re: 9/13 Jesse AMPS 133-boo

What a kind soul you are to give a home to another FD baby! That is wonderful!
Just wanted to add that 133 is a pretty nice number!! No boo here
Have a good night-Hugs from us!

Okay, that's better - 80 for PMPS

Jaclyn; thanks for the tip. That's what I am doing and the dang things still give me grief :?

Melissa; thanks about the psyllium. I think Angela mentioned that when Jesse first started having issues, so I went and bought some (the only thing WalMart had was a very large container of loose stuff). I haven't tried it yet because my vet suggested FortiFlora and others also said straight psyllium wouldn't be as effective. But since I'm almost out of the FortiFlora, I will start with the psyllium. :-D

Thanks all for the "new kitty" well-wishes. He's currently in Santa Cruz and I will probably meet the last leg of the DCIN transport team in Roseburg - just a couple hours south. I don't know why, but last night when I saw the post that he'd been rescued out of Animal Control in SF, I just knew he had to be mine! And hopefully (antijinx!) with a dental and no more dry food, he'll be one of the fortunate ones to go OTJ! I just can't wait!!!

Congrats on adopting Spock! I can't wait till you guys meet, and then we get to hear all about him!!!

Have wonderful evening!

Amy

Hi Carolyn,
I found out that you are the lucky bean who has adopted a very special kitty.
Congratulations!
Hoping the transports continue to go well, and that you both have a happy happy meeting! cat_pet_icon
