Good Morning, Everyone,

Our deepest sympathy to Patti and Joe on Boris's passing. Fly free, sweet Boris.

Rusty is starting out where he was when we signed off yesterday. I'm out on a bike ride today, so the boys are home alone. Back around +10 or so (have to make a stop at the Petsmart in Plattsburgh on the way home; the ride is in that area). All is fine this morning (with the exception of the "new Rusty-type" number). Kitty kisses to wake up, good shot, breakfast in 2 installments, and a kitty who knows I'm going out and is watchful.

Everyone have a good day.

Ella & Rusty (in haste)

Have a great ride Ella..... and Rusty - stay blue for your Bean while she's away - it's not too shabby a spot!

Have a nice bike ride today, and I bet Rusty comes down and has some nice numbers. Hope it's a nice day there and not too cold. We're having rain this afternoon. :-D

Re: 10/5 Rusty AMPS 164

Hi guys .. not to bad of a start to the day .. I know rusty can usually pull out nicer morning numbers, but still not bad .. Enjoy your bike ride, I'm sure your boys will be just fine .. have a great day!

Re: 10/5 Rusty AMPS 164

Enjoy the bike ride, I'm sure the guys have lots of stuff to occupy them (i.e. napping!)

Rusty, it's cold and wet here, we want to have a baking day that will make things nice and cosy. Then napping after the sampling! You in? -- Tess

Hi Ella! Hoping to see Rusty come back down today and get back into his cycles of old where he saw lots of green. I know you do, too.

Enjoy your bike ride...it sounds like so much fun!! I bet the fall colors are astounding.

Hey Rusty....me and Tobes are up for baking and then we can all come here to nap in the sun...it is PERFECT!!

Re: 10/5 Rusty AMPS 164, +9 130, PMPS 193

Hi again,
Thanks for visiting the boys! My bike ride was great: 27 miles of rolling terrain, very windy, but good sunshine and not too cold. It was in the Champlain Valley--in apple country. The foliage was beautiful (they are about 2 weeks behind us, even though they are further north). We saw at least 8 very large flocks of migrating Canada Geese. I just love to watch them: they are so perfect in flight, each goose with his own role to play in the formation. We also saw a pheasant by the roadside. After the ride I went to the Petsmart in Plattsburgh to get a new bag of freeze-dried chicken treats for Rusty. I also read the ingredients on many different brands of non-premium wet food and decided to stick with Wellness turkey and FF T&G. I didn't like seeing "meat by products" as the first ingredient, or "animal liver" (what animal?), or the fact that so many of the foods purporting to be turkey or chicken had fish listed as an ingredient.

Rusty and Edward had a really nice day with lots of outdoor time in the garden. The chipmunk and the squirrel did not make appearances. I got home in time for a +9 and was pleased with the 130, but then I don't know what happened between +9 and PMPS. It is unusual for Rusty to rise 60 points at that time of day. I took 2 readings, but they were both in the 190s (I recorded the lower, of course!)

The rest of the afternoon was spent harvesting our basil (we are expecting a hard freeze tonight) and making pesto. Not exactly what I wanted to do after being out all day, but it had to be done. We froze a lot and had some for dinner on linguine--delicious.

Off now to visit some condos. If I don't get to all I had hoped, it doesn't mean that I'm not thinking of you!

Ella & Rusty (who must have enjoyed all that baking this afternoon with his friends. Maybe that's what spiked his bgs!)

hi guys - sorry to be so late in visiting you. I remember reading your condo, thinking I had posted... I must be loosing it.

Your ride sounds wonderful - and beautiful. Most of our leaves are just starting to turn - even the mountain foliage is a little on the late side. Though I did hear today that Mt Rainier had its first dusting of Snow.... oh oh....

interesting commentary on the cat fuds... it is amazing when you rad what goes in that stuff.

Ni NI all!
