Happy saturday Lantus Folk!
The boy and I are finally ready to get back into the regular ebb & flow of daily living.
Truth is, he's been ready all week, but I felt the need to spend some time in seclusion to reflect on & assimilate the loss of my favorite aunt Dorothy.
A truly remarkable, outlandish & offbeat lady; she was referred to by our appearance conscious family as "oddly eccentric"-
but we kids were less discerning...and lovingly called her "Daring Dotty"
And this should resonate with many of you: in a ranch family where 'pets' were considered a wasteful and useless indulgence...
she braved all arguments, anger, & admonishments thrown at her by my parents
to introduce me to and bless me with my first heart-mate companion-
a rakish little kitten named Wild Bill.
And with that gift, she helped fill my life with the laughter, love, joy and wonder of furkids.
In the week since we last opened a condo...binks has been a tiny little Sherman Tank...
we skipped his am shot sunday...and during monday's am cycle, he earned himself a reduction with a 39.
cruised the greens with a couple of blues thrown in...then earned another reduction last night with a 38.
I've been shaving his doses by a drop or two...but this morning I took him from a s1.25 down to 1.0u-
because I've been struggling to keep him up...frontloading his cycles with HC and karo.
He's been eating LC only about 20% of the time.
Binks, buddy...you know I love you dearly...but you're wearing this bean out...
with his return from The Falls...it seems he is showing his love of Ray Charles- relentlessly
insisting "The Nighttime Is The Right Time"
all p's present daily...and it seems we're clearing the "food disinterest" hurdle (anti-jinx).
now to catch up on lantus goings-on...
