Good morning. Just posted Apollo's AMBG 113.

This morning I gave him 1/4 a teaspoon of Miralax and a blob of vaseline under his nose before his AM feeding.

John - every time I stop on the board, I just have to look at Apollo's latest numbers - it makes me smile and gives us hope...you've done an amazing job with the sugar dance.

....and ANOTHER 'BG' behind the am/pm....

I am really pleased with his numbers. Once my family visit is done I'm going to try to get him down just a bit more into the greens.

I tried the new pill pockets tonight with his Pepcid and B12 and he ate them. He did take his sweet time eating them, but so far so good.

The only issue I am still concerned with is he still doesn't seem to be pooping. I can't tell 100%, since my other cats use the box, but I know the "spots" where they like to go in the box and I know Apollo doesn't like to cover things up when he goes. Now maybe he just won't go poop that often from now on since switching to the all wet food or he could still be having constipation issues. I don't know, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Question: How often does everyone's cat poop? Is every couple of days normal? I have been giving him miralax and blobs of vaseline since Tuesday night.

Morgaine used to poop every day and when I switched her to all wet she now goes every other day because there is less waste and she is using her food more effectively. Once in a while she goes daily but every other day is normal for wet food and raw food fed kitties.

KT - daily but pre-dx and for a while after we started insulin, he never covered. Now that his numbers are a little better, he DOES cover unless it's one of those high 300 days, he doesn't again. Maybe???
