11/23 Rusty PMPS 140, +4.5 58

Good Morning, Everyone,

We have about 7 or 8 inches of wet heavy snow already with more expected. We are very glad that we decided to drive home yesterday!! The roads are a mess because there is also freezing rain in the snowy mix.

Rusty staked out his spot on his cushion in front of the radiator this morning. He's in "winter mode" completely now (hasn't sat on that cushion since the spring). He had a good night sleeping between his beans, a good test, breakfast (2 sittings), and a good shot this morning. He's pretty tired from the trip yesterday and I expect he'll sleep a lot today.

We are looking forward to just relaxing this holiday weekend--we don't have to go anywhere!!! How wonderful!!

Continuing to send healing vines and positive thoughts to Jill and Mike and we trust that every day he will continue to improve. Also sending vines to all kitties who may be under the weather. Feel better, kitties!

Rusty certainly enjoyed his trip to NYC. He had some wonderful test results. Glad you are all home safe and sound with the bad weather setting in. Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend!

I'll bet you and Edward will be glad to stay home for the holiday, you guys are ALWAYS on the go! It makes me tired just reading about it :lol: :lol: :lol: How did the car trip go? Was there any barfing? Glad to hear you missed that nasty sounding storm.

Beautiful AMPS for Rusty this morning, these are the Rusty numbers i remember so well, so good to see him back there.

Glad you made it home before the snow! A nice quiet Thanksgiving will be nice. Rusty is really doing great and that just adds to your holiday.

It looks like the delayed bounce has finally begun. Rusty is sleeping the day away!! He wanted to go outside this morning, but took one look at the 10 inches of wet snow and turned around. I feel bad for him, he was so looking forward to going out in his yard. We are supposed to have a warming trend, so the snow will probably be gone by this weekend. Even so, it looks like paddling season has ended and I must say that I am sorry not to have gotten out in my boat at least one more time.

Hi Ella!! Very nice numbers for Rusty and glad you all made it home safely before all that snow and bad roads.

Gracie and Tobey had lots of fun in NYC. Thanks for having them...hope Tobey was not too wild....he tends to get that way.

Here's an interesting thing I have noticed about Gracie's lev curve: she always nadirs late (+12 and sometimes as late as +15) and then she goes up at about +4 or +5 and then comes back down. The info in Lev 101 says that a late nadir and late onset indicate too much insulin but Gracie is primarily in flat blue with green nadirs and PSs. If it was too much insulin, you would think she'd be down low. Anyway...sometimes when I see Rusty up at +5 or like today, I wonder if he's doing the same thing as Gracie. I'd have to look at his SS closer.

So you all are staying at home...just the two of you for Thanksgiving? I really miss our big family Thanksgivings like we did when my dad was alive and mom was well. But I also love it when it's just Mike and me having dinner outside by the fireplace with romantic music ....stars.....good wine.

I am with Rusty on the snow. 10 inches of snow calls for some good napping. Only you could be itching to get out in your boat with almost a foot of snow on the ground :lol: I hope that you, Edward, and Rusty enjoy your quiet holiday together. Hey, you guys have a big annifursary coming up, don't you?

Oh my gosh, 10 inches of snow! Rusty, I'm with you, I'd be snuggled up in bed, too. Really nice cycle for Rusty today. That sounds like a really nice Thanksgiving weekend to stay home and relax and sleep in with Rusty. Maggie just read her condo, and now she's already wanting to know what time the FF T & G is going to be served. Have a good night.

I guess the bounce broke this evening!!! Fed some FF T&G. Thanksgiving comes a little early for Rusty!
