Morning ~O) ~O) I had a really nice day yesterday and feel so blessed. On Thanksgiving evening I gave Maggie a midnight treat of less than a tsp FF Turkey & Giblets after her pm +2, and just that teeny bit caused a spike of 165 bg this morning.! She's extremely carb sensitive. Well, poor Maggie got herself trapped in the linen closet early this morning, and the door closed on her. Maggie is always very vocal in the mornings when I get up, so all of a sudden it became very quiet. I heard her crying but couldn't find her and then got closer to the meows, but they stopped. I looked everywhere and silence, no where under the bed or in her sleeping spots near the patio. Finally, I opened the linen closet door, and she's on the very bottom shelf sitting on some small boxes, wide eyed as if to say, "well, where were you?" I couldn't follow the vocals as she stopped talking when I got near the linen closet! Silly girl; all other P's are in place and doing well. I need to get that walk in or some exercise besides stretches.

That's funny! She heard you coming to the rescue so she stopped crying! Well, we have to work off the Thanksgiving dinner and I guess Maggie does too.

Ann, you asked which meter we are using. It's the Relion Micro. The FSL showed us flat yellows for months. I wish that had been a reflection of reality, but now we know she's more of pinkie girl, so we are more aggressively moving on the dosing ladder.

Hi Linda, thanks for answering my question about the meter. I think you will really like the Relion Micro. I use it as my back-up, and I love the way it swipes up a drop of blood. You're right, I guess Maggie did want to get her exercise in of hide and seek this morning with the door accidentally closing on her. Next time I'll know where to look.

A nice flat cycle for Maggie today! It doesn't mean there will be any action though!

Hi Lydia, yes, I think she did know I would find her, as she stopped crying. :-D

oh my on the closet... Maggie girl - you trying to make your bean get in some exercise?

I am glad that you had a nice Thanksgiving - I bet Maggie enjoyed her treat. :-D , even if it meant a little higher amps this morning. You'll be back down, right Maggie?

I hope you got your walk in., We actually ended up with a sunny beautiful day here. YAY!!!

Hi Michelle, it was quite funny once I opened the door and saw those wide eyes. My GA kitty was famous for getting into cabinets, too. I didn't get my walk in yet but am about to take a short one. It's nice and sunny and on the cooler side, just right. Just a little of the FF T & G caused these mid blues for Mags. I wish there was a lower carb turkey & giblets fuds.

Maggie, you silly girl! You've got to keep calling out for help until you are actually rescued!!! Of course you knew that MamaBean would find you under any circumstances, though!

Have a great night, and Miss Maggie - no more new hiding places!!!

Hi Ann,
I have a long-term foster cat named Whisper who is has chronic renal failure (she gets subcutaneous fluids every day), has high blood pressure, and asthma-like symptoms that don't respond to treatment. The really sad thing is that she cannot hide from me. Her breathing gives her away no matter where she is.

I'm glad Maggie is having a good day today!
