Drastic Dose Time Change

I'm sorry friends that my kitty's SS is behind. I just got another job, and things have been a bit crazy. I have been able to maintain her on doses at 3:30am and 3:30pm of 1.15u. I have two questions.

#1 if my time varies by 1/2 hour on either side, how should I vary my dose?

#2 MOST IMPORTANT: I am going out of town on tuesday/wednesday. Obviously I can't really ask anyone to do a 3:30am dose. My schedule for the next three days, including today, is as follows:
Sat: 7:00am-3:00pm, 4pm-11pm
Sun: 8:00am-2:30pm, 3pm-11pm
Mon: 8:00am-3:00pm, 4pm-9pm
Tues: out of town
Wed: out of town
Thurs: 8:00am-3:00pm, 4pm-9pm
Fri: 8:00am-3:00pm, 3:30pm-10:30pm

Can someone help me figure out how I am going to make this a decent time to ask my family/friends to help me out while i'm out of town, and then get back to the regularly scheduled shots?

It's not recommended to move a shot time by more than 15 minutes each cycle if you can help it.

If you move up the shot time more than that then you have to factor in a dose decrease because you are shortening the cycle.

Actually, if you can shoot within 30 min. once a day you're fine. It helps to remember that if you shoot early, it's like a dose increase. If you shoot late, it's like a dose reduction. I would try to not shoot early by 30 min. twice in a day.

I'm going to have to think about your schedule question.

would you be able to give the Tues. 3:30am shot before you leave, then have family give the 3:30pm shots and just skip the Wed. 3:30am? Also, if they won't be able to test then you probably need to reduce the dose. If you can update your spreadsheet we might be able to give a more specific recommendation. Another option would be to board her where she can be tested and shot.

Can't board her I don't have any money.
Yup my work schedule is pretty nuts right now. I just started a new job substitute teaching.
If I skip the 3:30am dose on Wednesday should I adjust the other doses? I think my mom can get blood sugars. If she can't, how should I adjust the dose?

If I always do the am dose at 3, can I safely do the pm dose at 2:30 or 3:30?

i'm going to bump up your question . . . and hugs to you as you cope with the crazy schedule. if you're subbing does that mean you get a winter break?

my guess is that you would not change the dose just because you had to skip one. after skipping a 3am shot, you could shoot later that morning at 8am and then 8pm, or something that your mom could do for you. the general answer is if someone else is shooting while you're gone and not testing, people usually reduce the dose by 1/3 or so until they return.

in general, you could shoot at 2:30 - 3:30 if the am dose is at 3. ideal is 12 hrs, but ya gotta do what you can make work.

see if you get some other answers, however.

the reason I suggested reducing the dose is not because you're skipping a shot, but because I don't know how low the current dose is taking her. Most of us reduce the dose when we will be gone just for safety's sake. If her numbers are high all the time then that might be less important. If you know what her current numbers are, then do what makes you comfortable.

Does Baby usually eat normally when you are gone? Will someone be staying with her, or just coming to feed and shoot? Does she feed her own lows when she has them, or do you have to remind her to eat when she is low? Those are all things you'll want to think about.

I was thinking of just skipping the one 3:30am dose so you wouldn't have to adjust your whole schedule (assuming that you would need to be able to get back to the 3:30 schedule ASAP when you get back). It would only be the one dose affected. She'll run a little high probably, but you have to do what you have to do and she'll get back on track.
