Good Morning, Everyone,
After coming back to green last night, Rusty is a bit high again this morning. I think I measured a "regular" 1.75, but this dose is really hard to eyeball and also to measure by counting the size of the drops. So we'll see if last night's "threat" of taking off the skinny, or this morning's possible "reality", will have an effect. Good test and shot this morning, also a Wellness Turkey breakfast in 2 1/2 sittings. After the rain last night, the precipitation has changed over to snow. Rusty had no desire even to stick his nose out the door! Temperatures are supposed to fall to below Zero tonight. We'll have to put up the rest of the door quilts on the upstairs porches. The weatherman is no longer talking about 6-8 inches of snow today, only about 2 inches. That will put back what we lost to the rain.
Got to do some chores, some cleaning, some shopping today to get ready for our big New Year's Eve party. We are having 20 people for late-afternoon snacks/early supper; a 5-hour break during which most people attend the village's First Night venues and some just sit around and listen to "Die Fledermaus"; and a midnight champagne supper featuring lentil soup (to assure that everyone will have enough money in the New Year). The supper will break for the village fireworks display at midnight and then the party will continue until . . . It is always lots of fun and this year we are excited that Linda (Bear Man) will be with us. She has her car winter-emergency kit all prepared and is arriving on Friday for the weekend.
Wishing you all a good day and continuing to send healing vines to Rocket and to all other kitties and beans in need of them.
