Well, well, well...it's like Champ read his condo yesterday, saw my frustration, and decided to give me a break. We've got blue!!!! Of course, he just might continue to rise over the course of the day and, in fact, I expect that after his night last night. He was 329 at PMPS last night. I decided to unwind with a nice long, hot bath, starting reading a new book (I LOVE NORA ROBERTS!!), and lost track of time. I was in there for an hour and a half!!! I had given him his 2nd dinner at +1. When I got out of the tub, we were at +2.75. I checked him and, dang it, he had dropped to 207. I gave him his 3rd dinner with a higher carb food, checked him again at +4 and he had dropped to 141...not too bad a drop. But then he just kept going. He dropped to 96 by +5. That's midnight for me and I had to get to bed. I gave him some more MC food and went to bed. An hour later, I thought I heard him cry out so I looked out my bedroom door and there was Champ. I knew I had the check him because he doesn't wake me up unless his BG needs to be checked. Sure enough, in the one hour I had been in bed, he had dropped to 59. Let that be a lesson to all the newbies!!! I was so tired so I knew what I had to do.....FF 18%. He loves that beef gravy lovers flavor and I know from past use that if I use it at his midpoint in the cycle, it will raise him up until he starts rising up naturally so I can sleep. I got up at 4:30, checked him again, and he was at 94. I'm definitely going to need a nap sometime today. Champ's already been snoozing all morning. I actually had to carry him in his basket to the kitchen for breakfast. After eating, he's right back in his basket. I've attached a picture so you can see where he is much of the day. He doesn't have much room on that cabinet in my office, but it's the only place where he can look out the window. He hasn't tipped over yet!!!
I have everyone has an uneventful, peaceful day!!!! Half the week is over!!
