2/4 Rusty PMPS 88, +5 87 pics of ice palace

Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

After today we only have 15 minutes to add to get back to our "normal" shot time. Rusty is almost done with making his sacrifice to opera!!! I hope that we will also be back to Rusty's better numbers by tomorrow (with preshots lower and more in line with the mid-cycle numbers). This morning we started a new cartridge of Levemir (46 days on the previous cartridge).

We had a good test, breakfast (Wellness turkey), shot (although I had to follow him into the living room to get him to take his shot; he is "shot-shy" again lately). He is now chillaxin' on his little bed by the radiator. It looks like a beautiful day and we got about 2 inches of snow last night. I may try to get to the X-country ski area this afternoon. I can't believe I've only been out on my skis once this winter.

p.s. our village Winter Carnival starts this weekend. The ice palace isn't quite as high as planned, owing to the warm weather, but it looks OK. I'll take a picture of it sometime this week and post it here. The "theme" this year is "Aliens from Space". The palace will be illuminated tonight and there will be fireworks.

Nice to be back on schedule. Have fun at the Winter Carnival, I used to love them back in MN. I hope you get some decent snow soon, I have to get my XC in vicariously through you now! :lol: :lol:

Morning everyone! I love that: Rusty is almost done with his sacrifice to the opera. I bet e too will be glad to have his regular shot time back. You did well Rusty, and your sacrifice is duly noted.

Good fortune with the new pen. Rusty - new juice, better shot time, now it's your turn: back to the greens. I am sure he will soon Ella. He likes the green floor.

nice on the 2" on snow! I hope you will be able to get out on your skis. The festival sounds great - I am glad that they were able to get the ice palace done - I had wondered. Enjoy! and yes, photo please!

Morning!! Wish we had a winter carnival!! Tomorrow is the Polar Bear swim here in the ocean-about 3000 people jump into the ocean and this year should be even more(warm)--They sell polar bear sweats & proceeds go to Make a wish foundat. So it is nice.

Opera fans do make all kinds of sacrifices. :lol: :lol: I hope Rusty gets back to those greens that suit him so well. Fresh snow will make for good skiing. Our snow has all melted. I don't have any Kahtoolas but everyone says they are great. Thank you for visiting our condo, Ella. :smile:

Wow Ella, how are your town managing a winter carnival? That's not much snow.
I don't know what ours is going to do without snow. :roll:

Thanks, Ann. My fairly new boxes from ADW (which had been on back order) have different numbers from yours on the box, but the lot number on the syringe envelopes themselves is 127831. I haven't started using them yet, since I'm working on what is apparently an older box that I ordered from Hocks when ADW was waiting for the back order to come in. This box has quite a few plungers that are slightly off the lines. I'm going to go through the whole box and pull out the questionable ones!

Hi again, everyone,

I never did get x-country skiing. They didn't get much new snow over there and since it's the weekend and therefore probably crowded with tourists, I decided not to go. Instead Edward and I wandered around the town, watching some of the "events". We enjoyed watching the Paul Smiths College Woodsman's teams compete against each other in contests such as sawing logs with the cross saw, chopping logs with huge axes, and--my favorite--the water boil. This consisted of splitting the wood for the fire, making some of it into kindling, lighting the fire (with 1 match; use more and points were deducted), and bringing a pot of water to the boil. The first team to get its pot of water to the boil won. I don't think I've ever had so much fun waiting for water to boil!

Rusty is green again since +9. Lookin' good here. Tomorrow morning we are back on our old shot schedule.

In Idaho the McCall Winter Carnival ends tomorrow...

this year's theme was "Destination Adventure"- and the Snow Sculpture winner was
The Jurassic Park display...
but the parade theme was Mardi Gras...
how cool is this??

Sorry you didn't get to go x country skiing today...BUMMER!!! But the ice palace is so cool. When we lived in AK, they always had all kinds of ice sculptures. It was really neat!!
