Crazy day for us today. We both had 8 am classes so had to dash off shortly after his +1 and were away until mid-cycle. The little bugger free fed like a champ last night, but did not repeat that action during the day, so his calorie intake is a little low for his AM cycle. He seems to be feeling pretty good, no pukus or hairballs today. He has been patrolling his backyard, sniffing and watching birds. Inspector Poo has not been called into action yet today though. Zener has been running flat yellow cycles with tinges of pink and blue on this dose so looks like not enough juice. The good news is his cycles have been pretty flat without big bounces {{{{anti-jinx}}}}. I'm working from home the next two days as our students have a long weekend break, so dosecrease tonight!

Hi guys, just stopping by your condo to say thank you for letting me visit last night. I did learn the difference between using Pepcid and probiotics, thanks to your info. and other wonderful beans. And, good news on Daphne, no diarrhea poo today! Good luck with your guy in the poo department :smile:

Zener had a slow slide down during this cycle, then a blue surf at the end, so we shot the dosecrease to 2.0u and are prepared for action or NDW, whatever the numbers bring! :roll:

@Barb - you can come visit us anytime! There are often discussions here in LL about things like pepcid, probiotics, poop and all sorts of things that start with the letter "P". We learn more here than from any of the vets we have seen in this past year. Great news of no pudding poo for Daphne today! :-D

@Amy - we are a little amazed how flat Zener has been lately and even though the colors aren't exactly our favorites - we are seeing bits of blue here and there. Paws crossed tonight's dosecrease brings things down a little more all around. nailbite_smile

@Linda - thanks and I will definitely enjoy being home with our mister handsome and working from home! :razz:

Anne, it may very well bring down his range of numbers. So let's wait and see what happens. Glad to hear he's feeling good and that you'll have two at-home days to observe what the dosecrease will do.

@Ella - we are waiting and watching. Paws crossed this will bring his range down. We held off on the dosecrease for a couple of cycles because we knew my two days of working at home were coming and I could monitor more closely.

Zener had a nice round of the backyard, but it was too dark for Inspector Poo tonight. :sad:

Right now, Zener is on the bed taking a nice long bath after his second mini meal. His appy has not been great today, but he has not acted like he is nauseous or anything other than full. Wonder if his decreasing numbers could have an effect? He is eating at his usual times, just smaller amounts.

Nice blues today for Z-man, but you are headed in the wrong direction here Zenner.

Just like us appetites can vary, I don't eat the same amount every day. Tess frequently vary how much she eats. I think BGs can effect it as well as activity level. With all the problems he's had it's hard not to obsess, but take a breath and look at the overall trend. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Zener just came in from another patrol of the backyard. Inspector Poo was at the ready with the giant flashlight, but alas nothing spotted tonight. I imagine we missed our "window of opportunity" earlier this afternoon. Oh well, the Inspector of Poo is diligent and will be back on duty tomorrow. :lol:

@Ann & Tess - you are SO right! Thank you for getting me off the ceiling. So true, we do obsess and it's nice to be reminded about why we obsess (other than just being crazy cat ladies). ;-) Poor guy has had some traumatic problems with his appy and lack thereof. And thanks too for helping us keep our eyes on the prize - the overall trend!

He seems to have missed the word 'slow' in there but he's come down alright :mrgreen:

Vyktor is a free feeder and his appetite day to day varies quite a lot - anywhere between around 200g to 370g is normal for him. These days I do tend to start getting paranoid the minute he has an off day though :lol:

Poo patrol is hilarious, I can't believe I look forward to daily updates on what has happened on poo patrol!

@Serryn - funny what these kitties interpret as "slow". :lol: We too are paranoid when Zener is off a little. His appy has been a struggle since his diagnosis and we had a tough transition from dry kibble to wet food, then all the complications with his GI system after his dental. He also has lost weight steadily since diagnosis and has not yet stabilized, so we are also concerned about calories, though with his BG high and not controlled the calories he takes in probably don't get utilized very well. Glad you are enjoying the adventures of "poo patrol"! :lol: Today's installment was not very productive though. :roll:
