Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans. He didn't even get up to finish his nighttime food (and this morning he was so hungry that he wanted 3 sittings of breakfast!). We had a good test, shot, breakfast (Wellness Turkey), a good chillax on his cushion by the radiator, and then I heard him meowing in a meaningful way while I was working at my desk. I went downstairs to see what the matter was (Rusty, for some reason, will not come upstairs during the day, even when repeatedly encouraged). We schmoozed for a while and I thought he might want to play, but he didn't. Then I spied on his scratch mat a small poop and realized what he was trying to tell us. The rest of the poop was, of course, in the litterbox. But Rusty has a wonderful habit of "wiping" himself after a poop by scrutching his bottom along his scratch mat. He sits with his hind legs spread out in front of him, bottom on the mat, and pulls himself along with his front legs. This morning obviously all of the poop did not come out while he was in the litterbox! He wanted to tell me this! (this happens occasionally, but Rusty rarely calls attention to it; his mat never gets messy, because Rusty's poops are well formed and dry).
Well, after that story what more is there to say? I thought I would "make a contribution" to the poop thread. Pretty good AMPS. Today is a going- to- the- landfill day, some shopping, and going to the library book sale. While at the landfill in Lake Placid, we'll take a walk around Mirror Lake (the lake in downtown Lake Placid--a 3-mile walk).
Wishing you all a wonderful Friday. TGIF! Healing vines to Sid, Rocket, and all kitties not feeling well,
Ella & Rusty
