Good Sunday Morning, Everyone,

Gus and Bev are in our thoughts this morning and we hope to hear that he is doing much better.

We are having another clear, mild day. No snow. Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. We didn't hear the first alarm today, but fortunately the iPhone "Ducks" quacked in 3 minutes later! Rusty had a good test, shot, breakfast (Wellness Turkey, 2 sittings) and is now chillaxin' on his bed by the radiator. Edward is baking bread. I just finished a batch of brownies for our monthly mountain club potluck this evening. If any of you saw the hilarious video Ann (Tess) posted in the Loose Lips condo yesterday, you will have an ida of the fare at our club potlucks!!

Tomorrow I hope there will be enough snow to ski or snowshoe 5 miles to the great camp Santanoni in the High Peaks area. This is one of the few historic "great camps" open to the public (but only several times a year and tomorrow is one of the days; normally you can ski to the building even when it is not open). It will be a real excursion and I hope it will be doable (acceptable snow conditions and improvement of a leg muscle I pulled the other day!)

I love you iPhone ducks - that would indeed wake me up. I need to see if my phone has something similar. The kitty choir alarm system here has returned, but Elsa just doesn't have the volume and the intensity that BJ had. :lol:

Very nice AMPS for Rusty today. Cute with the iPhone alarm and ducks! :lol: Baking bread, yum! All of a sudden I am hungry. I hope tomorrow will be snow for your trip. It sounds wonderful. Have a great weekend, too.

The Lagoon Master is in the House! Baking bread sounds yummy, add to that the scent of brownies! Swoon! Ella, I'm sure the offerings at you potlucks are better than THAT! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Rusty and the Shadow had another "encounter". The Shadow was almost in the door to our house when I opened it to see if Rusty wanted to go out. He "materialized" out of nowhere. The two of them then touched noses, Rusty swatted at Shadow, they ran up the walk to watch the squirrels at the feeder, touched noses again, Rusty swatted again, and then he came in. Poor Shadow really would like Rusty to be his buddy! He doesn't realize how territorial Rusty is where his home is concerned!

Many healing thoughts going out to Gus, and also to Klinger, who had cardiac arrest when he was getting a dental and is in critical condition in the ICU. Get better, Klinger! You can do it! (see the DCIN post).

Heading out for a short walk now. Edward will miss the potluck this evening because he and some friends are going to an "encore" performance of the Met in HD (Gounoud's "Faust"). It starts at 4 P.M. (Rusty's +9.5), so I won't be going since it would push Rusty's PMPS back 3 hours or so. "Faust" is not my favorite opera by any means. But Edward wants to go so that he can hear the tenor, who is excellent.

Hi Ella, Rusty and Edward, Rusty looks great today, all in green.

It sounds like you guys have such fun up where you are. My DH would love to live by you. He likes all those outdoor winter things. Have a great time tomorrow and I hope that leg muscle gets better fast!

Ouch on the leg muscle, Ella.
We got several inches of snow yesterday; for some reason, I assumed you got the same weather we do.
Hope you get your outing tomorrow.

Great green day for Rusty! Oh your house must smell wonderful. I hope you get to go on your ski / snowshoe tomorrow. That sounds so beautiful and fun. Watch your leg muscle and don't overdo it.
