Good morning World! Yesterday!

AMPS 368

Boy THOSE are nasty numbers this morning and shouldn't have been - he didn't eat anything all night but they were high last night too. If he stays true to form over the last few days, that will drop this cycle and run low tonight.

Karrie - am approved and in the Yahoo Canine CHF group. I started poking around reading but just getting my feet wet there.

I'm going to figure out how to test Sassy's (drooler pup) BG today. Over the last couple of weeks, she's suddenly began drinking and peeing like crazy, just like a diabetic cat. She evidently has a small bladder as she's never been able to hold pee for long but now it's a flood instead of just a little 'normal' puddle. DH is fighting me over doing it - not sure why but may have something to do with knowing we'll have to add another medicine and test set to our budget. As long as he doesn't know, he doesn't have to figure out how to afford it. I just have a feeling this is the reason.....

Today I want to share a picture of 'Ghost II' and share the strange story surrounding him. The old trailer as well as the cement block house near us were both empty, no neighbors, no pets. I enjoy my outside time and walk down our dirt road sometimes. One day as I walked, I looked into the next yard - there sitting in the middle of the tall weeds was the most beautiful cat I've EVER seen. To me, KT is just beautiful but this one made him look PLAIN. I talked to him for a minute, he started walking toward me but stopped. I ran inside, grabbed my camera and ran back - he was still sitting there in all his beauty. I got this picture - right after I took it, he turned, walked toward the other end of the yard and just disappeared. I didn't see him walk into the weeds, I watched him just disappear. Never saw him again altho' I've always watched. None of the neighbors have a cat like this - no idea where he came from or went to....strange......

Prayers continue for Klinger - fight Baby fight. We're all sending as many hugs as we can to MamaBean.

HUGS to all today!

Re: 2/19 KT AMPS 368

Come on down KT, but not too fast, and not too low. Oh that's getting complicated, but please come down some. I hope Sassy is OK, you don't need one more in your hospital! What a strange tale of Ghost II. What's the story of Ghost I?

Re: 2/19 KT AMPS 368

I hope KT comes down for you today - without diving too low.

Best of luck with your little drooler, Sassy.
And that is a cool story about the beautiful Ghost II. Strange.

Re: 2/19 KT AMPS 368

KT!! Come on down from there today baby--OK?? You know you look better in blues & greens!
Hoping that Sassy tests normal(look up normal bg for a dog on line) and that all is well..
There is always the possiblity of an infection, in the bladder (cystitis), inflammation of kidneys, or hopefully something very simple (just read these in dog owners home vet handbook)
Not to worry, a vet visit will help clear up your worries!

About the Ghost Cat II, in view of what I do, this is not surprising...I have a photo that I use for my lectures of a kitty sitting by the grave of his companion cat and right behind him you can see the lighter image of a much darker kitty, that is quite clear! Their spirits live on as ours do, and how lucky he picked you to show himself to!!!! I'd say he knew a beautiful caring person & visited her(you)!!
wHAT A GIFT!
Hope you have a good day, & Sassy will be all well soon--Hugs & Love from us!!

I finally remembered to access my yearly Bald Eagle nest cams and find that this year, they have TWO sets online!!! One nest already has FOUR babies. The cams are online as much 24/7 as they can keep them altho' if something happens, they do NOT disturb the nest just so we can watch. That's only happened once in the 3 past years I've watched them. I'm not sure I WANT to watch a nest with 4 babies - as they get bigger, the nest will get too small.

I hope you enjoy these as much as we do each year. This link is to the George Miksch Sutton Center here in Oklahoma.

Watch the Eagles Here

I also watched hummingbirds one year but the link is on my other computer, I don't remember where it was....

ENJOY!

Come on down KT.

I hope your drooler pup gets better soon, and does not have diabetes.

The Ghost Cat looks like it has a white aurora or something around it. What a cute cat.

I love those links to the birds. Thanks for posting. I watched a hummingbird one for a few weeks, like I was addicted.
I saw the eaglets in their nests, and then I saw a parent come to one nest, and then all the cameras went black.

Time to come down a bit, KT!

Ghost is beautiful, and what a fascinating story. There does seem to be a special aura about him.

Those are some teeny tiny baby eagles - so cute!!

Have a great day1

Hi guys,
Ghost II has the look of an old soul in his eyes. I agree with Roni and Dyana, you were very lucky that he chose you to visit.

I hope KT comes down for you today and that Sassy will be OK--no diabetes! (how old is she?)

Thanks so much for the link to the Bald Eagles. They are magnificent birds. We have them around here, too, and they are fascinating to watch.

Healing vines to Lacey. How's Scruffy doing? Lyresa, you are an amazing bean!
