Here we are again right where we were yesterday at this time...exactly...a big pink toad again. Where oh where are our blues again? Guess I'm singing the 'blues' for the 'blues'.....
Today I'm dedicating our condo to our 'Hot Rod' (GA). 9/6/96 to 2/27/7. Unfortunately I don't have a picture on this computer or in my photobucket. Hot Rod was my 'numbers' kitty. He (and 6 siblings) was born under our RV in an RV park from a half feral Mama and feral Daddy. As soon as he could move around, he's scoot to one corner of the long box...'squish' into a little crouch then take off running to the other corner. Looked like a little ball of fuzz rolling fast thus he gained his name "Hot Rod". I found homes for the rest of the kittens but kept Hot Rod. He was such a beautiful doll - reminds me of several of the piebald 'Cape and Mask' babies we have here on our board. I kept hard food out all the time but fed them (Mama/Rodder/Delilah/Peanut) a bowl of soft food twice a day. I NEVER dreamed in my life we were actually killing 3 of them because someone put melamine in the food. He went into kidney failure, we weren't able to pull him out and had to help him to the bridge. I still miss him SO much but he stays close on my shoulder all the time. Any time I see matching numbers on something, I swear he swats me on the head....
I love you my "96 27" baby boy....I'll pick you up on my way by when my jobs here are complete.
Hugs to all today! It's shopping day but gonna do it in the rain....
