Ok, so we are holding steady in the green on .1....what happens next?
I am taking my dog in for her annual exam tomorrow and hoping I don't the riot act read to me for NEVER having brought Tiki back in since she gave me the insulin. Y'all have been my mentors and guides the whole time. I'm hoping she will forget about the cat (she's only seen him once) while I am there. Had planned on bringing him back in once (IF) I get him regulated (pray, pray, pray) for a final analysis.

You have to learn how to draw a drop! How exciting is that? :lol: his SS looks great...you're doing wonderful with him.
Just remember at the vet that she works for you and you are Tikis advocate...he's your cat and how could she not be thrilled with how great he's done.

Drawing the DROP hasn't been that hard. It's actually easier than those awful quarter doses.
And you're absolutely right - I've got him in the greens, since XMAS!!!

We started the .1 yesterday and so far so good. I was just wondering what happens next. Do I wait til he drops below 50 again and then do a half drop (gulp...)?

Yes...when he earns another reduction by going below 50, then you take it down to a zero one or whatever you can get it to. We like to keep them on insulin as long as possible.

Well..if he earns another reduction and you take him down to the fat zero, then if he earns another reduction after that by either going under 50 OR he has mostly green numbers for a week straight, then you take him off the insulin for a 14 day trial. We usually tell you when to start the trial.
