hmmm, there was no purring this morning. i don't know what that means, but it may be the mornings where he's high & on the start of a bounce. i may go back and look to see if that's the connection. usually he's doing his purring and cheering routine while we're getting everything ready: purrrrrr purrrrrrr meow and repeat. today, just meowing. psst- punkin - it's sorta obnoxious, old guy. ;-)
he seems ordinary other than that. sitting on the ottoman at my feet right now. breakfast scarfed, made sure he and Anya both got into the clean plate club. this week is 6 months exactly since we headed home after taking him to Colorado State for treatment for his acromegaly. yesterday i did a synopsis on his ss of the changes i've noticed since then. i no longer hear any stridor (rattly breathing), there are no more signs of mega-bowel, his pupils are more responsive than they were, although not 100% normal. that likely indicates the tumor hasn't shrunk much, but we don't expect that it will - we just want the cells to not replace themselves!
his feet are as big as ever, he's still diabetic - although the dose is just under half what it was, and his voice is still sorta strangely bass & gravely for a cat. he still doesn't want to be held much, which is a huge contrast from a year ago. i think it was during last summer that he stopped wanting to be a lap kitty.
all in all, he's still the kitter i adore! i'm glad he's still hanging around. cat_pet_icon
