4/10-Racci-AMPS-150,+4-275-dry dm!,+7-349,PMPS-376,+7-152

Well, I just got home a little bit ago after running all over town looking for either an older date on her Wellness salmon & Trout or Core Salmon mix and returning the bad cans I bought from Petco. I couldnt find any wellness salmon/trout that wasn't Nov/14 so wound up getting Core Salmon which she ate, thank goodness as you can see what the dry DM did to her bg! Hopefully after eating her core for lunch her next test will look better! She was sure happy to have something she liked!!!

I also found a great new pet store that carries real supplies and all good brands of food! So I guess all wasn't lost. I brought back a few new trials for Racci even though I swore I wouldn't since they had some brands I hadn't seen before and the flush I was looking for. I found Tiki cat sardine cutlets, wild salmon in salmon consumme, Merrick BG Salmon & California Natural Salmon & Sweet Potato. I also got a large bag (starter pak) of frozen raw Primal organic assorted foods for free for her to try. Hopefully she'll like some of that! None of them have by products or grains so they should be okay. Of course I'll have to check on some of them tho.

I spoke to Wellness and they're going to send me a check for the two cases I bought. I sent them the order via email. I haven't spoken to the store I bought them from yet though. I need to do something with these cases now and get more Core ordered so I'm not caught without again but have to specify I don't want that month of that year just in case.

I'm exhausted! What we don't do for our furbabies, huh?

I hope she gets over these dry food numbers fast. I can't believe what just 2 small meals & a snack did to her blood glucose and that's low carb! Amazing!

Just call this an OOOppppss!! And forget it, she will come down soon enough...and now a Hooray for getting refund for bad cases--How could they do this to our fur babies--Hope she comes down soon-

And what an OOPS! She's now 345 for +7 when she's usually low! I sure hope they recall those so others don't have that problem.

Isn't she ever You should have seen her face when I gave her the contraband for dinner and then breakfast! lol! She looked like she didn't know what was going on but she was grabbing it fast before things changed back and it was gone. :lol:

Hi, Melanie - my wish for you is no more cat food problems! It's good to know Wellness took care of you.

I buy Merrick BG Turkey, Cowboy Cookout, and Grammy's Pot Pie, but Grammy's is a little higher in carbs (8%) than the other two. If Racci likes fish, Merrick Surf and Turf is only 3% carbs.

Thanks! I hope for no more food problems also. What a drag that is! Racci doesn't like the Merrick. It has too many veggies in it. I bought some of their BG today though to try. She likes their dry BG so hopefully will like the canned. I'm hoping to get some more choices here so I don't wind up in this predicament again. Right now the only definite I have in the house that she'll eat is the Core Salmon and only a few cans of that so I have to get some more pronto and hope she likes some of the new ones I tried or I'll be right back in the same position again.

Wellness was very nice about it but I just hope they pull them from the shelves. They need to recall that batch. Some less fussy animals might get into it and get sick.

Isn't that the truth! Now everyone can see an example to be pointed out of how good a diabetic food the dry Purina DM that the vets always prescribe really is! Just look at her +7 after 3 meals of wet food after the DM! She's coming down already thank goodness! The before and after is really dramatic, isn't it?
