4/16 Atlas Update

Yesterday's Condo

Well we were at the clinic this morning and Attie continues to improve each day.

Dr. N thinks we may be able to to oral abs. after tomorrows visit. ;-)

Yesterday, when Dr. N and I gave Attie the Subq's Attie was less than compliant. Today Krista his vet tech was there and he just laid in her lap purring, getting scritches and kisses the whole time. :evil: I think he has a crush on his vet tech.

Attie's AMPS was a bit high this morning, but seems to have come down a bit. He is still trying to eat, but just nibbles at what is offered and walks away. :roll: Although last night I did hear Attie get up several times and graze a few bites at the kibble bowl. He did that without encouragement...so paws crossed things are going to turn soon. Today he wanted to share some of my turkey sandwich with me and he didn't refuse the turkey today...

What a wonderful awesome update.

Awww, Attie has a crush on the vet tech Beth it's a good sign that he at least tries to eat, right?
Of course your turkey is gonna be tastier than cat kibbles.

Just getting home ...although I've been in/out all day...but my feet are now planted firmly in the home. Attie has just gotten his Tamiflu, bupe, and insulin for the evening.

We tripped across some Natural Balance Rabbit treats and he flirted with those for a bit, but still not really getting a full hungry kitty meal...I think we'll be getting an appetite booster tomorrow...

He has two litter boxes in his room. One outside the kennal cage and one inside. Now that the runny poo has pretty much stopped he has some freedom!!!! I had to chuckle though when I went in to see him, he had opted to try to use the little box in the kennel for a poops and ....missed. He managed to get the towel in there all waded up on top of his opppsssie. Still a pasty poo, but some formed pieces too. So I think his intestines is still pretty damaged. Which would explain the lack of appetite as it hurts to eat.

But...it is time to get some calories going to get the energy up to heal...

glad to hear he's improving. Such a fighter! sounds like things are headed in the right direction at least!

Sounds like Atlas is doing a little better today. Sending healing vines so he can feel much better soon.

how cute on his trying to clean up his oopsie. somehow I see that as a good sign too.

Beth, I also would think his trying to hide the mess, would be a sign he is feeling at least a little better.
Poor baby. I hope he wants to eat more later on.
