Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty woke me with kitty kisses and squirms about 1/2 hour before the "ducks" sounded their alarm. He had eaten all of his nighttime food. We had a good test (138, the lowest AMPS in a while--yea), good shot (no problems this morning), breakfast (1st sitting) of Wellness Turkey and FF T&G), and now a nap in his basket by the radiator. It's in the 20s this morning, but expected to get into the 50s: perfect hiking weather. I'll be off soon to climb Silver Lake Mt. and visit the Silver Lake Bog Preserve, which is a Nature Conservancy site. Should be beautiful today. Edward and Rusty will hold the fort and they both have their instructions. I plan to be home by +9 or so.

Wishing you all a lovely day. Thinking about all of you and your kitties,

Ella & Rusty

back late this afternoon with a report.

Re: 4/18 Rusty AMPS 138

Morning Ella, that's a really nice start for Rusty, and the FF T&G doesn't seem to be affecting his numbers. Maggie is impressed and hinting for some, too! Have a great hike and perfect weather, too. So glad Rusty is feeling better.

Morning all! Rusty it is so good to see you sporting lower and lower amps. Well done! You be good for your papa bean today.

Enjoy the hike Ella - it sounds wonderful. How great to have a nature conservatory be part of it. YAY!

Re: 4/18 Rusty AMPS 138, PMPS 138

Hi again and good evening, everyone,

Got back late from the hike, so missed Rusty's afternoon test. But we have the same PMPS as AMPS! Another lottery opportunity! Judging from the PMPS number and the fact that Edward had given Rusty a snack of FF T&G at +10.5, I think that Rusty probably had a pretty good cycle today. Edward said that he ate all of his food and that they had some nice time outside on a beautiful day. We had a good shot this evening and Rusty ate his dinner eagerly. His appetite has come back.

It was a gorgeous day to climb Silver Lake Mountain. Some wildflowers were out already (Trillium, Spring beauties, Trout Lilly, Dutchman's Britches) and we saw interesting fungi. Lots of birds: many, many woodpeckers of all types, Winter wrens, Song sparrows. Views were spectacular--we could even see the Green Mountains (Vermont) in the distance. We ate our lunch on the summit: warm sunshine and almost no wind; it was so silent except for the birdsong. Just wonderful. I'm enclosing a couple of pics. That's me on the summit. Whiteface Mt. in the distance, upper right.

Off to visit some condos. I hope everyone is enjoying a fine evening,

Ella & Rusty

LOVE THE PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!!! How nice is that! thanks so much for posting them. How high is this? and all the snow is gone? looks like it was a great hike - I am so envious!!

oh, Rusty... You look good too! I am so proud of you - eating again, playing again, and venturing outdoors. Well done!

  Celi! (my pack isn't in the picture).

Michelle, This is a small mountain, not one of the High Peaks. The hike to the summit was a mile long and we ascended 900 vertical feet. Later we walked in the bog preserve and climbed to a bluff to view Silver Lake. It was a great day!

Thanks for visiting, everyone. Rusty just ate his bedtime snack of FF T&G and it's time to say ni ni.
