Increased from .5 to .75

Yes, I skewed the amps by feeding at +11.
I know I'm becoming a bore by repeating this mantra, but because he doesn't eat well, when Checks asks for food, I cant refuse.
He actually's been eating better for a few weeks, and is looking better for it.
He doesn't have that scrawny, loose skin look now. I don't know if he actually gained weight.

Breffis eaten, and seconds and thirds eaten already. Some playing, some napping, some annoying, all taken care of. :-D

Re: 5/16 Checkers+11/192...amps 256

Good luck on the new dose for Checkers. I don't blame you on the feeding, if he's not eating well during the day, you don't want to miss feeding when he's hungry. Kitty first! Have a nice day, Barb.

Hear! Hear! Food is really important for him now. W/ the +11 test you have a pretty good idea of where he is anyway. Keep eating, Checks! And, uh remind Tess on how good those fuds are! :?

Yummy foods today, Checks? What were you served for breakfast?

Good luck with the dosecrease, Barb. Give it some time to settle in. Checkers sounds good. It's nice that he gained a little weight.

Enjoy the evening,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 5/16 Checkers+11/192...amps 256

I totally agree, if Checkers is hungry he should eat. The numbers are only numbers and you can get lots of checks at other times and you know the reason for the high number and thats always a good thing.

Good luck on the dosecrease!

Hi Barb and Checkers!

Glad to hear the handsome fellow is putting on weight:) I have a hard time saying no to Ella when she's hungry because she doesn't love her wet food so when she asks, I generally give. I try not to feed her past +10 but when she is high, I break the rules. When she's low I let her tough it out because I don't want to influence the numbers and get myself in a sticky situation...with syrup flying all over the place!

Hope you have a great evening:)

Great to hear Checks is putting on weight. We have had a struggle with that as well. Hope you have a great night!

Re: 5/16 Checkers+11/192...amps 256

Too late to save this cycle. I let him get into kibble. I didn't think he got much, but the pmps shows he did.

Thanks to Ella for reminding me it takes time for the new dose to settle in. I always expect instant results, like he got his increase an hour ago, how soon will he be OTJ now?

I agree with everyone else...the cat's gotta eat. Mario isn't diabetic, but I do the same thing with him, because he's 17, skinny, and not the greatest eater either...whenever he wants to eat, I feed him (and it's often whatever he wants, too). Of course this means I'm pretty much always late for work, because he always HAS to eat the very second I'm ready to walk out the door   . Or the very second I decide I'm going to call it a night. What can ya do?

I'm sure Checks will clear that kibble quickly!!!

Hi barb - late visit.. But i agree - a boy's gotta eat. My Elsa is the same way - doesn't each much skinny, so when she asks, she gets fed.

sorry for the kibble, hope he clears it quickly.
