Hi Everyone,

I guess Racci fooled me and didn't go into a bounce after her 36! At least not yet. :mrgreen: I did start her decrease last night and this morning which made no difference in numbers yet, it seems. Today I will get a +3 rather than +4 to keep her from getting so low. All p's are in place. She ate for the third time today and pooped, was a little disappointed today when I didn't have my usual cream cheese with breakfast to share with her and had waffles with fruit instead. :mrgreen: And went off to nap in her favorite LR spot near my feet. Her nadir seems to have shifted between 3 & 5 now instead of between 5 & 7 where it always has been in the past, so Racci is full of surprises.

Our HOA Pool has opened today so may try to makee an appearance with all the other milk toast people at the beginning of the year if the sun holds out. Right now it's in and out.

I hope Moonie, Rocket and whoever else is sick is feeling better today and showing vast improvement, including humans like Roni's aunt.

Hi Marje,

I'm about to take another test and hoping she's kept up her green surf. She has been doing great! I sure hope she's finally ready to say goodby to FD. :razz: She's on a big dose tho so has a long way to go. Thanks!

Racci Look At YOu!!! Doing so great today!
Slow and steady wins the race & a few of the otj fd cats that went off the juice too quickly, came back...do the best you can, Racci is healthy & regulated, That is important!
So take it slow and you will win!!--You are a great bean & Racci is doing very well! Hugs & love from us!

Hi Tena,

Isn't it funny how the right kitty seems to find us when it's the right time? Zeke is adorable! I wish you many many years of unmitigated joy with him. Kittens are just so much fun!

Racci is doing well. She had a great day yesterday with another decrease and has been mostly blue & green except for when she's not feeling well. I'm really happy with her progress.

HI Roni,

Racci has been doing very well except for the bad spells still whenever she doesn't feel well. Her bad spells keep getting lower numbers than they were previously though so she's definitely getting there. She's come a long way from the kitty taking 5U that wouldn't regulate no matter what I did! I thought I'd never get her regulated! :lol: Now she's had so many reductions and she has such good runs that it's just great to see.

You're definitely right, that having her regulated and healthy is the most important thing. She's hard to keep healthy and always was. Thank you Roni. I just love my little fur girl. She's always been so sickly with her compromised immune system and asthma, allergies & then the diabetes and arthritis now. All her life she was clumsy and got hurt, got infections, whatever could be caught, Racci caught it. While her mom, Calli, was always so healthy.

The vet said a lot of it was from being the runt of the litter & maybe having trouble being born had something to do with it. I had to help with the birth. Calli was getting very tired and one of the kittens was turned wrong and blocking Racci and one of her brothers. It was very scary. That kitten didn't make it.

Once Racci was born, she was half the size of her brothers and I had to help her feed because they would knock her off the nipple all the time. I guess that's why we've always had such a strong bond. I've been momma along with Calli from the beginning. I'm sorry I wasn't able to keep them all. I was renting though & was only supposed to have one dog and I already had 2 soon to be 3 since I was keeping Racci, I just couldn't get away with keeping another 3. What a drag. I did get them good homes though. I don't know what got me off on that tangent. :lol:

I hope Moonie is doing well tonight. I'm going to have to come over and check on her. TTYL

Melanie, You are such a Good Good bean!! Rescueing the little runt baby and caring for her all this time so successfully!!! Her life is a miracle already, and there still could be more miracles to come :-D :-D :-D
Such devotion, putting your cat before yourself, I so understand that--Tha's why outside peeps think we are nuts...But I guess they never had the unconditional love of a beautiful cat!! or any creature maybe..
We have received these treasures for a reason...Moonie & Copper my little treasures, never had anything like them..Racci is one of those treasures as all tyour furbabies are>> I think we are soooooooooooo LUCKY!

Roni, it's what any one of us would have done. You're right though, other people who never had the joy of really having a bond with a cat don't understand. They think we're nuts. I would never have let Racci go to anyone else though. I knew she would need special care and needed her mom and me to be healthy. I couldn't trust her to someone else. She was too fragile. It was hard enough giving the others away. It broke my heart.

They are treasures, Roni. I think their diseases only make for a stronger bond between us and make them smarter and more special.
