Morning ~O) ~O) A nice day and night cycle yesterday for Maggie. :-D She is really liking this dose. I had a good night's sleep and no early morning wake-up call! :-D I found Maggie totally asleep on the footstool part of "her" recliner. I even have a soft pink blanket on the footstool just for her. All is well with Mags and most of the P's. Brushing and playing will be later after her nap and poke. I think we will try brushing her teeth! That usually means placing some toothpaste on my finger and hurriedly placing some on her few teeth before she does a clench. It seems to work, and she likes the taste of the t. paste. Mags just does not want anyone messing with her mouth.
I think nice weather is in the forecast, so a walk and some errands will take me out and about today.

Good Morning Ann. What a lovely start to Maggie's day. Yesterday was beautiful too. Now for a nice low safe surf all day, so you can get out and about. :-D

What a great green start for Maggie today! Too funny on the blanket. I have to admit all of my babies have their own blankets and Tarragon's is chenille. It was left over from a baby blanket I was making and he claimed it as his own. Good luck with the tooth brushing! I can't even imagine trying to do that to either of ours.

Very nice start! We've got "kitty blankets" on the couches, too...probably about 12 of them - literally :lol: ! I'm jealous that you got to sleep through the night. Frankie was in full-on chatter mode (I don't even know how many time DH and I got up to try and calm her), and I had to get up to test Trix. I don't have kids, but I often feel as if we've got a whole bunch of newborns here, with the lack of sleep I get sometimes!

:shock: teeth brushing??? omg - Mannie would bite my fingers off. maybe I'll try your method, it sounds like maybe then I might get at least some toothpaste in his mouth. :cool: :lol: I wish I had started that when he as young, maybe I'd fare better. :lol:

WOW on this morning for Maggie - what a great start, and greens too! I love the fleece. We have so many too. Funny how it is like magnet for them. And of course it is her recliner. You never did own that, ya know.... :lol: :lol:

Thanks Barb, Melissa, Amy, Helen, Michelle and Devon for the visits and on her cycle. It looks like a nice surf and what would be green :mrgreen: on the human meter.

I suvived the tooth brushing with no injuries and only complication was some paste on her chin which we cleaned up. One lucky thing is Mags doesn't have many teeth left. I think permission is given for me to leave. Looks like her Nadir was around +4 or 5!

Nice numbers Maggie and way to go for enduring some teeth brushing!

Glad you can get out to enjoy a walk and get some errands done. It's SO humid here today and the kids are crammed into their classrooms doing standardized testing...it's brutal! Hope the weather is better where you are:)

Kind of a double dip! I was gone for a few hours and then had a long distance call from my long winded sister :-D and so didn't get another check before PMPS. I thought she would have been rising, but fooled me.

Roni and Tamara, the teeth brushing is a challenge. She used to lick it from my finger, but for some strange reason won't do it. As long as I can get some on her teeth, hopefully it will help.

Another nice day for Miss Mags! I can't believe she really likes the taste of toothpaste. Very unusual. Simon is so much like Maggie...he hates people messing with his mouth. Hope you had a wonderful day.

It is alwys such a pleasure to visit Maggie's condo, so green and peaceful. :-D :-D The toothbrush sounds safer to me, at least if she bites she getthe brush and not the finger! There is a little CET brush w/ a 1/4" round head, the best one I've found.

Georgia, the toothpaste I use on Mags is "C.E.T Enzymatic Toothpaste, Poultry Flavor." She does seem to like the taste of it. My GA kitty used to love licking it from my finger. I've never been successful with a toothbrush and admire any of you that can do it. I know there of a few here who are successful with the toothbrush.

Thanks Ann & Tess. We were posting at same time. I bet I might have luck with that toothbrush. Thanks for the recommendation and on visiting Maggie's condo.

Thanks Liz. I think Mags is teasing for a reducie. Last time it took 17 cycles!

If she like the toothpaste just put it on the brush tip and let her chew on it. Having the brush on the tip rather than the side makes all the difference! This is the one I'm talking about it comes w/ a sample toothpaste.

You are lookin' mighty good these days Maggie. I haven't been around much this weekend, but I see that Maggie's numbers are really super. Toothpaste and toothbrushing! Rusty only has 6 teeth, but I tried using a kitty mouthwash after his dental last fall and that was a failure!!
Hope you had a good day today, Ann, and that you got in your walk. It's so hot and humid here that we cut our walk short.

Thanks so much Ann & Tess on the brush w/ toothpaste. I think that would really work well on Mags much better than me smearing it on her teeth with my finger. Thanks, too, on the link where to buy! :-D

Michelle, she does like flat today and doesn't want to move from the 100's. Must be her security blanket. :lol:

Hi Ella and Rusty, wow on the mouthwash. I bet Rusty said "what the heck!" :-D Yes, I have been getting my walk in early. I find if I out off until later, I just don't do it. Thanks on Maggie's numbers. She has done well on this dose.

Oh, the toothbrushing. Simon had a big dental in March and I really resolved to do better. I don't get him brushed often, and I have to confess. . . (I'm a human dentist! AAAAAAHHH!) So embarrassing. It's hard to brush a cat. My labrador lets me brush him all day long, but the cats are another matter.

I remembered you are a dentist. I am going to try this brush Ann & Tess recommended above. I have heard it is much easier to brush a dog's teeth than a cat. :-D I admit, too, I don't do it as often as I should.
 
Maggie is doing fantastic on this dose!

When I just had Gracie at the vet dentist, he said that even Just water on a qtip works. I do use the CET toothpaste and I've used those brushed...but all my cats do better if I just use a qtip with the toothpaste on it.

Gracie said to tell Mags she has a pink blankie too :-D
