Yesterday's condo

Zener is having a stinky pinky bouncy start to the day after last night's green slide into PMPS. He has done his yard rounds and appy is okay with a blip at +2. Liz gave his tummy a little massage and he was asking for food at +3.

Poor Liz got a mega splinter from putting up Zener's cabana, so she is doing minor surgery on her finger to get it out, using the lovely lighted magnifier we use for measuring up Zener's insulin. The insurance adjuster is on our roof checking for hail damage, so we may be getting a new roof this summer. Kitties will NOT like that.

Nice blues Zenner! Not too fast a dip now.

Another thing that is great for splinters id a lancet, especially the bigger ones. Much easier for that surgery than a needle! :lol:

I hope the splinter removal was successful, ouch! Good idea from Ann on the lancet. Nice slide for Zener today. Zener, I think your Beans are slipping on poo patrrol.

@Ann & Tess - he did a nice slow cycle today, must be aliens! :lol: :lol: :lol: Thanks for the tip on the lancets, we sure have plenty of those! :razz:

@Ann & Maggie - Liz may still have a small sliver, so next go at it, she will use one of our gazillion lancets. I'm sure Zener won't mind. Now, poo patrol feels the gauntlet has been tossed! Diligence is our middle name! :lol:

@Dyana - surgery may not yet be complete on the splinter. :sad: And yes, Zener has a cabana. A nice board placed across a corner of fence in our side yard, with a network of bungie cords holding a sheet over it to give the big guy some shade. Maybe Liz, the engineer, cat toy designer and cabana builder, will post a picture of Zener in his cabana one of these days.

I Agree! CABANA photo, please! Zener you are one lucky dude - and to think - the sacrifices from your beans! A splinter! i hate those but hey: another use for those lighted mag glasses.

Sorry to get here so late but I'm glad to see Zener coming down again tonight...and slower

So I went to the compounding pharm today to get Gus's bupe and I spoke with one of the pharmacists. She said the buprenorphine comes as a powder and they mix it with purified water to form the liquid at the right concentration. They can add flavorings to it. I asked if they ever mixed it as a gel because Barb said Daphne's was a gel. She said no...it was always a liquid the epwas they do it but it probably could be mixed as a gel. She said it can be constipating.

@kim & simon - Liz took a pic of Zener in the cabana today, but it's so shady under the cabana you can't see our black kitty. The photographer will get right on it. :razz:

@Michelle & Mannie - cabana photos on order. :lol: And now we know we can use lancets for splinter removal, love using things for more than one purpose! Hey's Mannie, you can come hang with me in the cabana anytime. It's nice and shady and plenty of room. I's don't have a pool though.- Zener

@Marje - yes, thanks for the info on compounding. Zener got constipated from the long-term use of bupe post-dental. Fortunately, what we are doing now with the combination of zantac, ondansetron and cerenia seem to be helping his GI system and motility, so appy is staying fairly steady and poo patrol has daily success. ;-)

Looks like the night duty bean will be on the job for a few more tests. Woo hoo, our 7th PM cycle in a row with some :mrgreen: !
