Morning and another nice Maggie day yesterday. Mags surprised me yesterday at the pm cycle with a 75 at +3! I gave her a little lc Wellness Turkey, and she came right up to 93! Yesterday I received my two cases of Wellness Turkey from wag.com, and it's the consistency Maggie loves, a little chunkier and not so mushy so that she can sink her teeth into it. I know Ella and a few others have noticed differences in consistency and color depending on where bought. It hasn't made any difference in Maggie's bg, just with her pickiness and the Bean wasting a lot of Wellness. The local stores will take it back and refund the money though. All other matters are great with Maggie girl! Good appy, playful, lots of interesting chatter, nice brushing ending with a slap on Bean's hand when I started using a Kitty Wipe and got too close to her back legs. Wishing all a nice day. Low 60's here right now and hoping we get some more sprinkles today.

Mags said it was a great party last night as she stumbled home trying to be quiet! She still haad her green sweater.

Maggie is doing do well lately! She is such a good girl. Too funny on the swiping. Maggie doesn't like her bottom cleaned. :lol: Hope you have a wonderful day Ann!

Nice drop. Once in a while I like to do a comparison had I been using the human meter. With the lower number on the AT, a lower variance between the two meters.

Melissa, yes, there's something about her back legs and bottom that's off limits with the Kitty Wipes! :lol: I get a dirty stare, too!

Hi Ann,
Your Wellness from wag.com must be a different batch. I listed the batches I have in Rusty's condo yesterday. I did buy some Wellness Turkey in the 3-oz cans at Petsmart yesterday and found it to be the better texture. I have an e mail in to Wellness, asking for an explanation.

To answer your question about the spec fPL. You only have it done if you expect that the cat might have pancreatitis. I had noticed in April that Rusty's numbers were higher and that he had less energy and less appetite. Although he wasn't vomiting (another symptom), I thought it prudent to have the test. My vet did a "snap" fPL, which is the same IDEXX blood test, but can be done in house and only tells you if your cat is positive or negative. The "spec" fPL has to be sent to the IDEXX labs, and you get the actual number value. I don't know if it will give any information today, since Rusty is symptom-free right now. I'll have to ask. But I do want to get a baseline value for future reference.

Morning Ann - Nice report for maggie, and a great start today.

Interesting on the wellness turkey - I need to read Ella's info in her condo. Mannie will eat it no matter on the consistency, but I'd still like to compare what i have with what she listed. I am glad that Maggie likes this batch better. I have a friend whose kitty will not eat anything that is mushy - she too likes to be able to sink her teeth into it.

LOL on the brushing, and the slap. No messin' with the tush huh Maggie? With Mannie it's no messin' period. though he does like the kitty wipes.

We have similar weather - lots of rain today. Good day to be indoors. Have a good one today - I hope you will be able yo get out for a walk.

It looks to be a low blue surf today for Maggie. She was sleeping when I tested and seemed annoyed at the poke with pushing my hand away. I guess she was trying to tell me she's okay and get away from my ear! :smile:

Hi Ella, thank you for all the info on the pancreatitis tests, and I went back and read your condo on the Batch #'s of the Wellness. The online #'s are different. So glad PetsMart's Wellness is the one Rusty likes.

Hi Michelle, it is so funny with Maggie and her "don't touch" spots! So nice the manster will eat no matter the consistency. Maggie should take some tips from him. Yes, it's June gloom for us today

I hear ya, on the leg wiping. Checks won't let me touch his legs either.
Funny how cats will have a preference about food consistency. Checks doesn't like chunky.

I really don't think that the store where you buy the Wellness would make a difference all of the time. Those stores just happened to have different batches in stock at present. I suggest that you make a note of the dates and other info. on the bottom of the cans so that when you go shopping at a store (where you can actually see the cans), you will know which ones might be mushy.

Nice surf today, (but I say that here every day, don't I :lol: ) I'm glad that Wag sent the good fuds for Maggie. I just ordered from them yesterday, but the really big cans. I hope it is chunkier, Tess likes that better too.
