Hi Everyone,

The storms last night were amazing, but we were lucky and didn't lose power. Many of our neighbors were not so lucky. It looked really dark in the neighborhood last night. Potsdam, where I attended my reunion last weekend, was declared a disaster area--many roofs blown off buildings, huge trees down, flooding, etc. They think it was a tornado or a microburst.
Rusty doesn't let storms bother him and he slept through the night (at least until 4 a.m., when he got up to eat some of his nighttime food). This morning looks like a mini bounce (or maybe is food influenced). In any event, maybe today will be a "rest" day.

Edward and I are getting ready to begin preparations for staining our front and back steps. It's too wet right now, but the sun is out and hopefully it will begin to dry out by this afternoon.

Morning!! Glad you didnt feel the strorms where you are but sorry about the other areas--
Moonie doesnt even get upset by storms except a giant clap of thunder--she may look surprised, but that is it! :lol: :lol: :lol:

hi guys .. glad the storms don't bother rusty .. he's starting the day out nicely! I feel for those without power and who have suffered damages .. summer storms are so scary .. good luck in staining today, that can be quite the task! Have a great day!

Hi Ella, that's terrible with the storms and all the damage. I'm glad Rusty doesn't get scared. Nice blue AMPS there for Rusty, and I bet he's on the way down to greens.

Hi again,
We spent all afternoon on the steps and even got some of the staining done. The good weather is supposed to be with us for several days. Yay!
Rusty had a relaxing day. He went out for a while, but we had to put him back in the house while I was painting. He didn't appreciate that!

How awful for your neighboring towns. I'm glad you weren't affected negatively by them. It was dark and threatening most of the day here, but alas, we're still dry.

Very nice cycles for Rusty today. He did the Zener slide this morning. :lol: :lol: That's terrible about the damage and power being out. I hope no one was hurt. Maybe Rusty could talk to Daphne about dealing with storms? I'm watching the Tour stage now, they are going over the Col de Tourmelet. The scenery is STUNNING!

oh wow on the weather and the storms. I hope not too many are badly affected. I am so glad that your reunion was last week, and not this week - what a shame on what the storm did to that town.
