yesterday

what a fantastic night mr punkin had - from 4pm yesterday til 2:30am he was in greens, and he didn't bounce this morning. he got into greens about +3 and has been there for a couple of hours now. he was just 40 and i've given him some high carb. has about another 45 minutes to go til he hits the nadir, but i'm hoping he'll surf in greens for a while again.

got our son home for the week - he arrived this morning and will leave thursday night. he's working trail building in the back country all summer. ahhh the carefree life of a 23 year old! hard work but he's loving being outdoors.

Wow Julie, Punkin is really a cat on a mission lately. :mrgreen: Is he not liking insulin now? Looks like he wants a reducie. :lol:
You mentioned Pennsylvania Dutch? My paternal grandfather was PD, but I think was born in Indiana or Illinois. But there were stories about Lancaster county, and the colorful german population. So I identify myself as Pennsylvania Dutch on the census forms :lol: :lol:

It's so much more fun to go down the dosing ladder than up. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Did you ever see the Far Side cartoon with the caption "The Vikings knew the importance of stretching before an attack."? One time when I was hiking in the Grand Canyon early in the morning, I saw the trail workers doing their morning stretches. :lol: :lol:

makes me remember all the flat yellows and blues on the freestyle meter . . . and i am appreciating this little flat green run more than ever. he had a nice flat green run a few weeks ago, but the tumor must've ramped up and we lost those.

we've got left-over rotisserie chicken, and mr punkin thinks that's about the best chicken he's ever had. i suspect it's shot full of sugar something, which is why it's so tasty, so he only gets little bits. he's willing to take the little bits.

the son has been sleeping in the hammock on our deck, under an umbrella, for the past several hours. nothing like being home. since june 1st his schedule has been work 13 days straight and one day off.

are you saying he was in daphne's OTJ video, marje? or was there another? i didn't spot him if he was in daphne's . . . will have to go look again.

hahaha liz - i think i've seen that one. i'm sure these workers do stretches too. i like camping, but for weeks on end? no thanks.
