Morning Maggie's AMPS was a nice surprise after her yellow at the PMPS. I felt comfortable after the +3 with no more pokes, and it looks like she did a nice slide into the low blues. I was able to get some sleep, too. I did hear some chatter mid REM, but I played possum, and Maggie went btd. Maggie is feeling all good and purry this morning, but no magical poo to report to Inspector Poo! This is the start of the second day with no poo, so it's still very early in sunny CA! I think I'll go go back to the 2 ml Lactulose dose vs. the 1.5 ml. After her second bm on the Lactulose, I reduced to 1.5, but evidently she needs to stay on the 2 ml longer. I'm keeping Vet informed with the Lactulose.
I believe a nice day is expected, so I'll get a walk in early. I recorded the Opening Ceremonies, so looking forward to watching it.
Sending healing vines to Peanut (Devon's friend's kitty) and all kitties needing them.

Wrong way Maggie! I think I know what did it! I gave Mags her dose of Lactulose and then because she's not fond of the med, I give her a treat of half tsp bb. I couldn't find the Beechnut chicken & broth but had some Gerber and this one causes a spike. Also, one of those syringey days, too!

What a nice start today for Maggie - great amps! I love it when we wake up to a great amps, knowing too that they had a good surf during the night. Well done Maggie!

Good luck too with the Lactulose. I think you will know what is a good dose for her. It is nice to see that it doesn't seem to spike her BG too much.

Enjoy your walk this morning, and watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics. I got as far as the parade of athletes before sleep won out. I need to watch the end....

Surprise again with a nice recovery.

Thanks Michelle on her cycle. Maggie was trying to hit me over the head by telling me she was dropping with asking for more food, and I finally got it, time for test. I had a btd earlier and thought she would have been rising with the bf and the syringe problem with the dosing.

Back up again! Thanks Jane for the visit. The +6 was quite a surprise. I did some laundry and then started watching the recording of the Opening Ceremonies and couldn't keep my eyes open, so turned it off and couldn't believe I took a two hour nap. I've never done that mid day! I woke up to Maggie staring at me and asking for food! :YMSIGH:

Hi Ann, so nice to see you again and Maggie is looking good! The 84 would have been nice if it stuck around a little longer, but the night is still young, right Maggie! Good luck with the Lactulose.

On the baby food...it's just chicken right? I thought Gerber had some other stuff in it. The only one I've found around here with nothing but chicken is Beech Nut.

Not sure where the 196 came from, but I should have taken a second reading. I find with a too large a drop blood gives a wonky number. No Poo for the second day!

Hi Marje, the Gerber chicken & gravy has cornstarch in it and spikes Maggie's bg. I like the Beechnut chicken & broth, but the store where I shopped Friday stopped carrying the Beechnut flavor. I have to go out and about tomorrow, so I'll try another store. Yes, great video, and I wish I would have had something as good four years ago when my GA kitty had lymphoma.
