Morning ~O) ~O) All seems to be well with Maggie with her start of a nice blue, but we are in trouble again with the poo issue, even with the full dose of Lactulose recommended. Atter three doses, Maggie had two days in a row with acceptable bm when we first started the Lactulose, but now nothing for two days. So Vet call first thing tomorrow morning. I think something more is going on here. I'm reading the Feline Constipation website and learning as much as I can there, very good site. Maggie's all purry and chatty though and just had a nice brushing which she loves. I'm making her food real soupy and trying to get enough water in her. We would appreciate any vines for some poo today for my sweet girl. Poor Maggie; she does not like me talking about her personals.
Healing vines for all kitties needing them today.

ETA: Maggie just did one prezzie after two days of no poo, so maybe we are okay. I'll keep her at the full dose of Lactulose recommended. So it seems like she goes for two days no poo and then on the third day leaves a prezzie. Do most of your kitties do a poop every day?

Morning Ann! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O)

YAY on that +4! Maggie is green - Woo HOO! It looks like it will be a good day for her.

And a double YAY for the poo report. Mannie doesn't go everyday either. As far as I can tell. He is allowed outdoors, so it s possible that he uses the outdoor LB, but I am skeptical on that: too many times I find him running indoors to use the LB.

Enjoy your day today - I hope you can get a walk in.

Hi Ann! I'm so glad to read that you're finding the feline constipation website helpful, I was hoping that you would when I posted the link, though I was a bit worried because I know how much reading we all have to do for our kitties and I didn't want to overwhelm you! Maybe Maggie read around there too and thought she'd second-guess you  I'm so glad she left an LB prezzie! (Our cats do *not* have bowel movements every day. I'm finding that our young kitties void their bowels more frequently, every day or every other day. But Karre has for a few years now slowed down a bit, and he often waits two days.)

We're condo-visiting with extras today, since it's Sunday, so here's a rainbow for you right from the Hout Bay valley:

Have a great rest of your Sunday!

Lovely BG numbers Maggie! Guess there will be green today!
Healing vines to Maggie for LB action. Hope the Lactulose helps.

Re: 7/29 Maggie AMPS 120; +4 94

Thanks for all the visits. I just got back from a short walk, and it's quite soupy here yet! :-D Heavy marine layer yet! No other walkers out this early yet!

Thanks for the coffee, Michelle, and yes, yay for the poo report. I am so glad I won't be taking her in to Vetty tomorrow. Hilarious with the way Mannie likes to do his business inside.

Jane, thanks for the beautiful rainbow! I love it. Yes, thanks for the feline constipation website. A few of the Beans recommended it, and I forgot to keep track of everyone who mentioned it, so well written.
I was reading a piece there where it suggested feeling along the spine, and I did a light massage and don't know if it helped. Maggie seemed to like it, as she was purring away!

Helen, thanks for the healing vines, and I hope for more green. Maggie's been eating a lot of mini meals and sucking the life from the food, so I'm making it extra soupy so she'll get some water that way.

Ha, I'm such a scatterbrain - I just realized I actually posted the Feline Constipation website link in Kathy's condo, not yours! ;-) Glad you had people recommend it you you anyway, though!
Apparently I have a caffeine deficit!

+7 98
Still surfing green! I've noticed when Maggie is constipated equals some higher numbers?

Re: 7/29 Maggie AMPS 120; +4 94; +7 98

Yay for poop and greens!!!

Have you changed Maggie's diet recently? I'm just wondering if maybe food could be contributing to her poo issues. I know when I switched my Frankie over to almost all Wellness chicken, she started having constipation issues, too.

Have a great day!!

Re: 7/29 Maggie AMPS 120; +4 94; +7 98

Ann, I'm sorry Miss Maggie is still having poo issues but happy to hear that she did leave you a little lb gift today. Simon is like a typical guy -- goes 2x/day, but Cleo doesn't go every day. She tends to go every other day. I add water to her food and I also massage her tummy a little. Even if it doesn't help that much, she enjoys it. Sending more poo vines to Maggie's.

Re: 7/29 Maggie AMPS 120; +4 94; +7 98

I'm glad Maggie finally pooped! Is the Lactulose stronger than Miralax? I swear by the Miralax 1/4 tsp bid keeps Racci pretty regular. Have you tried that dosage with miralax?
Racci's bg is always higher when she's constipated also. Well nice numbers today! Keep it up Maggie!

Lactulose I think is stronger...Hope this issue clears up & Mags is back in good health again--Moonie is having some issues too..Swear it's always something!! Hope both our babies will be better tomorrow-Sending Blessings & Healing to our dear Maggie for good poos! Hugs & Love from us!

Not too bad of a day for Maggie!

Hi Amy, no change in food for Maggie. She's been on the Wellness Turkey for a while now as it agrees with her bg's and it meets the phosphorus levels or almost meets them. I bought some NC Organic raw chicken patties for her but never had a chance to use them that much, as I stopped once she had the constipation. Ann says the raw makes them poo less, so with the issues I hesitated to add them to her diet. I hope I can use them later

Hi Melanie, yes, once Maggie is over the constipation hump, the Vet says we can resort to a Miralax maintenance plan. I have a feeling she will need the Lactulose for a few more days if not longer. Yes, it is stronger in a way and takes a prescription.

Hi Georgia, hearing you say Simon goes twice a day made me laugh. Maybe the girls go less well just because they are girls! :-D Maggie enjoyed the little tummy massage, too.

Thanks Barb & Checkers for the poo vines. Maggie says thanks, too.

Hi Roni, thanks for the Blessings and Healing for Maggie. Sorry Moonie is having some issues, too. Our girls do like to fo things together, but this one I think they could do without! I'll have to check up on Moonie.

Vyktor doesn't go everyday, he's nearly always gone only every second day and sometimes goes an extra day without going.

Can you believe this conversation Mags  Lets escape the beans and sneak off somewhere. Meet you on the patio love Vyktor xxx
