Morning sorry I missed a few of you last night Georgia, Roni, Donnahc.
Detective Poo & Chief Inspector Crapdash, thank you for the kudos for Maggie, and the pic is so cute, love it! No poo report for today yet, but this seems like it is going to be a once in three days until she gets back on track.
Maggie feels really good after her poo deposit yesterday. Her appy is good, playful, very vocal at times when she needs something! Just for the heck of it, this morning I did a comparison with the new AlphaTrak meter/new strips that Abbott just came out with, and her AMPS was 231, a 79 point variance. I've mentioned to the Vet I think the new updated meter from Abbott is reading higher than the former meter. He had his Vet Tech call Abbott, and they insist it's okay and reading correctly. I've also called Abbott, and they said the same to me.
I have pt again for the shoulder early this morning at 8:30 am, so hopefully Maggie will give permission for me to run some errands immediately after and meet a friend for coffee/late breakfast.

Nice AMPS for Maggie! Hopefully the poo schedule gets back on track soon. It doesn't surprise me that Abbott says it's fine. 79 points is a huge difference!

Thanks Jane for the bouquet of flowers and well wishes. Poor Maggie; she was perky before, but now wants her rem sleep, and the Bean disturbed for a poke.

Thanks Melissa. I know on the meter thing, as the same happened once before with another meter. I hope, too, Maggie gets back on track with the poo thing. When she doesn't go for days, she's so lethargic. I think permission is granted for this morning.

Not too surprised on the meter, and the response from Abbott. I got the same thing when I went through meter issues some time ago. They too insisted all was well, normal, and within range. uh no. imho and all that.

Good luck with the PT today. Looks like Maggie has given you permission to be gone for a while. Enjoy the breffis with your friend. How fun! I love doing that.

Thanks Helen. I was just curious with the AT. I now use the Relion Confirm but need a second human meter as backup. I was thinking of the Micro Relion.

Morning! Mags is looking very good today I am starting PT next week, for my low back & stenosis.. Hope it will be successful & I hope your shoulder gets better as well!!

Good results with the pt, Ann. It helped my DD tremendously with neck/shoulder issues, due to auto accident and resulting surgery.

Hi and thanks for all the visits. I just got home and Maggie is all curled up on my bed, and I hate to wake her for a poke, so I'll let her rest. She never drops at the end of the cycle; now watch her make a liar out of me. :lol:

Thanks Amy on Maggie's cycle and the pt. Her number could be a little better, but with the constipation issue, I think I'll leave her on this dose.

Hi Roni, she always gets so close to green but never quite makes it! Definitely the pt helps for the shoulder. I'm sure it will also help your back and stenosis which must be very painful.

Hey Barb & Checkers, I did get a nice paw written permission slip and after the pt met my former co-worker for breakfast. I haven't seen her in ages, and we live so close, so very nice. Weather is much nicer today, not quite so humid. I left the a/c on for Maggie though just in case the apartment was stuffy.

Nice and easy does it for Miss Mags. I got the Target Up & Up (actually the WaveSense Presto) as a backup meter and am going to give it a try for a week or two. Just a different store if Walmart is out of stock. The Presto has really good reviews. I think Barb and Checkers uses it too.

I'm glad Maggie is having a good day and a nice blue one at that. I hope your pt helps you. The right therapist can mean all the difference. I've had it really help me or really hurt me. :lol: If your pt is not good, change immediately because there are good ones out there. Good luck!
