Sorry for the late sign on but it's been one of those days. I was able to go to the vet and leave Racci at home so she didn't have to get all stressed out. I came home with 2 courses of powder Pred-ef, Orbax ab's, & a small bottle of flush to hold me until I reorder.

Racci was feeling well this morning with all p's except for her bottom which was sore when I cleaned it. When I got home from the vet I cleaned her again and used the powder afterwards so hopefully she'll start feeling a little better.

I missed her nadir I think but lately she's been hopping around with it so she may have a later one today anyway. She had been haaving a 3.5 nadir for a while but the last week or so has been weird, getting her low point at the end of the cycle or at +6, so I don't know what to expect from her now. I'm going to get another test now.

Be back soon.

Glad Racci didn't have to actually see the vet! Hope she gets some relief soon, poor baby. NICE numbers, Racci, keep it up!

Have a great night -

My hairstylist has a cute little cordless, rechargeable set of clippers that would work well for Racci's butt. They are something like this. There are a bunch of them. I hope the meds help.

Hi Melanie, glad that Racci didn't need to be taken in to the Vetty, and that you were able to pick up the meds. Sending healing vines for the meds to start healing. Racci had a very nice cycle today. Have a good night.

Hi Liz,

That looks easy to handle but what are the comb like parts for? Are those the guides? I have no idea how these clippers work. I feel so stupid. I hope they come with diagrams and instructions. I'll probably be able to figure it out if I have something to look at. Thanks, now I know what I'm looking for and an approximate price range.

When I cleaned Racci with the vet's flush and used the powder, I could tell it felt good for her. She seemed relieved. I hope it doesn't bring her bg up but even if it doew it's worth it. It has a little steroid in the powder.

Hi Libby,

I was really glad she didn't insist on seeing Racci also. I expected it to be okay with her but you never can tell. She's pretty good about putting Racci's needs first. She knows how crazed Racci gets about the drive there. Now I just hope it clears right up without spreading any more and quickly.

Thanks for visiting you two. Have a great night!

Thanks Ann!

Isn't it a riot that she doesn't even know how lucky she got? We all know how important this was for her short term and how much better she feels today because she didn't have to make that trip and she doesn't have a clue.

Have a great night!

Hey, Melanie -

Yes, those 'comb-things' are the guards that will only let you cut the hair to the specified length. (Like how I mentioned cutting to 1/4" or 1/8") You can find them for a lot less, though, depending on what you need. Doug and Joseph each have a set and each was less than $50.

So nice to be able to SEE the relief :-D

Have a peaceful night -

Hi Libby,

Thanks for the info and the support and well wishes. :-D

I'll probably be able to get a cheaper set I imagine since she's the only one I'll be using it on and I won't need a lot of lengths. I do want a good quality though and a rechargeable one would be good since it may be hard at first to get her to stay still. If I'm not tied to a plug it would be a lot easier. I really do need to shave her. It's hard to tell what's going on with her with all the fur covering it.

Yes, it really was nice to see the relief in her. At first she wasn't too happy that I was cleaning her when she didn't even use the lb but as soon as she felt it she stretched out and relaxed and cleaned herself when I was done. She was obviously pleased with herself.

I hope you have a peaceful night too! I babysit again tomorrow so hoping Racci doesn't go low and lets me sleep. ;-)
