8/21 Racci AMPS-107,+3-126,+6-116,+9.5-155,PMPS-160

Happy Wednesday!

Racci is not feeling that good today as you can see from her amps, however all p's have still been shown. Unfortunately, her butt infection/sores are coming back! She has one of them and I see 2 others trying to come out. It's so frustrating! Her anal glands look clear though. I started her Orbax ab again this morning and she has been using her special powder all along. I had a feeling the past couple of days that something was going on with the higher bg and then last night with the neuropathy!

Racci is taking a nap on the window seat in the sun, one of her favorite things to do, and I'm about to go finish cleaning up after the hurricane visitor yesterday after I bury my head and scream in frustration at poor Racci's butt! ohmygod_smile :o  cat(2)_steam

Re: 8/22 Racci AMPS-198

I'm sorry.
Racci does seem to have a hard time. Unfortunately that's a very delicate area and hard to heal. Can't not use it ..
I'm glad she isn't up on the ceiling too.
Feel better, Racci.

Re: 8/22 Racci AMPS-198,+3.5-124

Hi Rhiannon,

It just seems like I should keep her on non-stop ab's. It comes back as soon as she stops them. :YMSIGH: It's so frustrating that she has to go through this constantly. It's so true that you have to use it and it never gets a rest. Thanks for the support.

Hi Melanie, oh no, on the sores coming back on Racci's butt, poor baby! What is this about the hurricane visitor? I think I missed something. I hope the abs and powder helps. Sending Racci some healing and feel better vines.

ETA I just got it! Was the little hurricane your lovable Jesse?

Re: 8/22 Racci AMPS-198,+3.5-124

Hi Ann,

Yes, the little hurricane I'm cleaning up after is lovable little Jesse, the sticky finger, crumb dropping & juice dripping king.

Thanks. I sure hope the antibiotics work fast this time too and clear it up before it gets bad. She refused to eat her lunch. I'm hoping it's not because she doesn't feel good & she's just still full.

Re: 8/22 Racci AMPS-198,+3.5-124

Poor little Racci!! I`m so sorry, and I do hope the antibiotics work Fast and she is back to herself in no time. I can`t offer any advice, (I have never even heard of this!), just lots of sympathy! Reuben sends kittie nuzzles and says 'get well soon pretty Racci!' I wonder what the solution to the back to back antibios is.... - Alexa

Poor Racci! I hope the meds clear it up quick before it gets out of hand. Oh the cleanup is worth getting to spend the day with DGS. Have a great night Melanie!

Thank you Alexa, Melissa & Roni! I appreciate your support. Maybe all our combined willpower will make it stop since nothing else seems to. It's so unfair that she gets such short breaks from this rash/infection. There just has to be something to be done for it other than the constant on and off antibiotics. She's been using the steroid powder nonstop so one would think that would have done the trick! I feel so bad for her poor little bottom. I'm going to have to do some more research.

Melissa, you're right about it being worth it to spend the day with DGS.

Re: 8/22 Racci AMPS-198,+3.5-124,+7-66

Aw, sorry to hear sweet Racci is having more sores. YUCK!!! Is there maybe another doctor you can take her to who can give a second opinion or at least a fresh pair of eyes, maybe with some fresh suggestions, too? Is it possible to build up a tolerance to the steroid powder? Could she be allergic to something she's coming in contact with? Grass? Insecticides? Cleaners? I don't know...just spit-ballin'...

Glad to see she's coming down nicely. Cleaning up after the little tornado, but you wouldn't trade his visits for anything!

Have a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Hi Libby,

I've been wondering if there's such a thing as a feline skin specialist. I don't know any other vets here but there is a new one that opened in m neighborhood. I just don't know how good he is. I may search online for one with good reviews around here for a second opinion. I've also been looking for the paper litter and no one seems to have it here. I wanted to try that for her. The only other thing I can think of is what the cleaning ladies use on the floors. I already made them stop using powder on the rugs but maybe their cleaner? I don't let her go out alone and when she goes out with me it's not often enough to be the problem. I haven't taken her out lately between the heat, rain and mosquitoes.

I have to go give Racci her meds and food now so ttyl. be back soon. Thanks for stopping by..

Hi Traci!

I missed your post! Sorry! How are you and your kits? It's good to hear from you. Thanks for stopping and checking on us. Isn't that a drag with poor Racci? I can't believe that keeps happening to her no matter how well I take care of her! Nothing seems to prevent it!

I hope all is well with you and yours! Have a good night.
