9/7 KT AMPS 243 NO Eye Surgery for Bean!

Not sure why Mr. Liver made Sir KT sweeter last night - it wasn't because he ate something hc! Guess he didn't like that beautiful run we had yesterday. Hey Mr. Liver - it's REALLY OK!

I can SEE even better this morning! I can cover the good eye and actually SEE the letters here on the screen! I'm SO relieved. I was SO scared it was going to end up with my losing sight in that eye. In case someone missed the update from my eye surgeon's appt yesterday, I'm quoting it here:

NO EYE SURGERY! I have "posterior vitreous detachment (PVD)" - sounds like an STD doesn't it? Basically, I'm lucky - the fluid sac in my eye detached from the back but the front stayed attached AND it didn't tear when it happened. It will repair itself as I'm noticing it getting better this afternoon. I could read things there at the office that I couldn't have read yesterday. I DO have another appt with a specialist Monday just to be sure he sees no tears either. Here's the wiki on it:

UPDATE TOO!!! I just HAVE to share something else that happened that I truly believe was a result of LL Thoughts and Prayers. When this happened and I posted it, I also said we didn't have the $$ for surgery, I would have to use my small retirement savings. They did test after test, dialation, things that I could literally hear the dollars ticking off in my head. Then they presented our bill for payment.....$75! YES, that's SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS! It didn't hit me until late last night - I got the bill out this morning, sure enough it SHOULD have been over $400! The total was there - then all this other stuff listed as 'credits' - they even removed ALL their 'new patient admin' charges. I feel SO darned blessed today!!!

All fuzzy feets are doing well this morning. I've got to spray for ants everywhere this morning - as I gathered 'used' bowls from last night, I found itty bitty ants in all of them. It's that time of year....

Very happy to hear you are well Lyresa, and that you have such good news about your eye. Sometimes all we need is a little sunshine and something to go VERY VERY right to brighten up our days. Rest up so that your eye can heal properly. Computers (and even too much reading on LL) might strain the eye further.
