Morning Maggie has all five P's in place this morning! This is the second time she has had a poo on the 2nd day since starting the new meds for Megacolon. This time she left me a short stop prezzie right in the hallway between the bedroom and living room, and I can't believe I didn't step on it! It wasn't runny poo at all. I guess she had been sleeping and just didn't quite make it to the lb. Part of it was semi-hard. Okay, enough graphic detail. I just did this for Detective Poo's inner German per a previous request for more detail! Mags seems to be feeling good, but I feel a sore throat coming on and am thinking I need to get a flu shot! Have any of you had the flu shot yet? Maybe I can ward off the cold with some vitamins. Wishing everyone a nice Monday. IIt was s 71 degrees at 3:30 in the morning, so another hot day. I do need to go out and about later this morning. Healing vines to Rocket and all kitties needing them.

ETA Poopsie, the flattery helped in the equation for Maggie!

Thanks Devon, I am glad I didn't step in it, too, as I walk around in my bare feet a lot! Thanks on the sore throat. I have some chewable Trader Joe's Vitamin C tablets which seem be to helping.

Morning Ann YAY! We have prezzies! sorry or the one in the hallway. sometimes Mannie does that too. Good thing you missed it.... :shock: ;-) I have no doubt that Inspector Poo will be delighted with the detail.

I hope you are feeling better. Drink lots of fluids! Well.... that always works for me.

Thanks Barb & Checkers. It is a much better start today. I don't foresee her going any lower as she usually drops around the +5 or surfs. She is an easy cat to monitor most of the time.

Hope your throat feels better soon. No flu shots here yet. We are having what they described as "unseasonably pleasant conditions" so I can take a long walk after lunch without melting into a puddle.
Jasper is doing great at the Falls, thanks for asking! He has licked the edge of blue a couple times since his party but so far nothing scary. I am running around getting gear ready to leave Friday am for our first vacation since I retired 2 months ago. Hope you and Maggie have a great day!

Hi Leslie and Jasper, thanks for the report on Jasper. I am so happy he is doing so well. Yes, so glad I didn't step in the magical poo. So glad you are having nice weather. Our whole summer has been humid, very unusual for us. Have a great vacation. Isn't it nice to go away and not have to worry about a petsitter needing to do pokes and shots.

Hi Dale, I just found out I was underdosing Maggie on the Cisapride, just a communication thing with the directions, but no harm done, better to under dose that the reverse! The Lactulose is a stool softener and the Cisapride has been "used widely to treat gastric-emptying disorders, intestinal transit and other motility-disorders in both dogs and cats. It accelerates emptying the stomach and propulsion of food through the intestines by increasing peristalsis. Cisapride is used in cats to manage chronic constipation and megacolon." I copied that rathee than try and explain in my words. Very humid here, too.

Hi Ann, I know much better today. It seems to be every other day for the poo, which is still good, as in the olden days, Mags would sometimes skip a day.

Hi Melissa, I didn't see you up there. Yes, so far a nice day. She usually Nadirs at the +6, so I think she's on her way up. I just tested, and it was rather high, but she had just eaten earlier.

Glad to hear all 5 P's were present for Maggie this morning. Nice blue surf today. I hope your sore throat feels better. I've heard it's not good to get a flu shot if you are already sick, that it can make it worse.
