10/7 - Scratchie - AMPS=231, +2=318, +5=266

Yesterday

Good late morning!

DH made me go to the Dr. yesterday. Acute bronchitis and inner ear infection. That explains the fatigue and low grade fever for the last week. On AB's and cough medicine. Fell asleep after Scratchie's +2 last night as bad coughing fit and took some of the cough syrup - wiped me out. Looks like DH tried to test last night (Scratchie's ears were pretty messy this morning) but he was unsuccessful except in frustrating my poor boy! We'll work on that some more today. Better numbers today, glad he is coming down to the yellows. All P's in place, appetite great, sunning himself on the top stairs in the hallway this morning. ;-)

Well I am just so happy to hear that he sent you to the dr and then he tried to test too!!!
There is some good progress.

I just shared this with a newbie so I'll cut and paste it here too so you can show him.


Be sure to put the pressure behind the ear too as pressing only on one side makes it less likely to get a blood droplet.
I know you said he hit his finger once so a paper towel folded up on the backside should keep him from ever poking himself again....

I'm sorry to hear about the bronchitis and the ear infection. I will pray for you to heal quickly. That was nice of your DH to try and test Scratchie for you. Hopefully he'll get the hang of it quickly. I use a cotton ball on the other side of Furball's ear.
