bagging up all the ff turkey and giblets.... well. maybe...
Shadow's not doing what was said she needed to do .... She isn't dropping in bg 3 or 4 hours after eating.
I need to look thru my notes... I don't remember ff t&g ever giving her any bg issues. She may have skipped a poo yesterday and that
might be bothering her a little. I'm giving light dustings with miralax in her food today. Don't want to push that too hard since that's never
been an issue for her and don't want to overdo .

I also picked up her lab work results. This was non-fasting.....
The things that stand out are her Albumin is High 4.1
her BUN was on the high side 36 (14-36 )
her triglycerides are high 444 (normal is 25 - 160)
and her platelet count is Low 139 ( normal is 200-500)
Her T4 was 2.3


I also finally got the picture of Luna sitting on the cat tower. She so very much wants to be a cat.

Nice numbers today! I hope you get the food thing worked out. Still in the threshold, so I say WOOHOO DAY 7!!!

Hey! Congrats on Day 7!

(By the way, Max had low platelets once and I was worried, but then I found out that they clump together and the machine can't count them. So, the low reading is recorded on the printout, but then a technician takes the sample and checks to see if the number of platelets is "adequate." If it is that is noted on the test results, and the vet doesn't worry about the platelet count being an indicator of disease.)

It is noted as adequate.
Just mentioning all the flags on the page.
I guess I should scan it ... ( do I know how to do that? :lol: )

Luna looks so cute on the kitty condo! What does Shadow think of him being on there?

I don't think you should worry too much about Shadow being that high. She's still normal range and much too low for insulin and that's what matters, not that she's green.

I agree- nice numbers. She may still come down some more on her own.

Hi Rhiannon, really nice numbers. The FF T&G always gave Maggie a bit of a spike. Luna is adorable sitting on the cat tree. I will babysit her any time. :-D

I know it's hard to not worry about everything on the lab result.

What a cutie pie, Luna is.

Is that a lighted magnifier next to the chair? I lost the locking thingamabob for mine, so it is a pain to hold.

Common Shadow quit giving your mom a nervous condition. Congrats on Day 7...Keep it going Shadow.
Luna looks like she is suppose to be up there on top of the world. It kinda looks like she is using a tanning light.

I know you would rather see green, but those blues are still in the good range. Remember ECID. This may be Shadow's good range without the insulin. Have a good Day 7!

Relax rhiannon, it canbe meter variance. I see Shadow in those lovely green cycle, it's wonderful. Sometimes they do spike a bit & come down. It's a living being afterall :lol:
7 days of green surf, Shadow! You are doing great!
 
I agree with Helen....it can easily be meter variance tonight.

Sometimes other variables are in play which just might temporarily raise a number. Shadow is still in normal numbers. So just follow the directions for the trial and don't worry...today was one day with one 120 number.

Lets see how she continues to do, ok? ;-)
