Hi Barb, enjoy the birthday party. I caught up with yesterday's condo earlier. Good idea on the skinnier dose. Paws and fingers crossed he will eat when you're gone, now go out and enjoy yourself. :-D I think he'll eat especially with the mc!

Thanks Ann. I wouldn't always stress, if i know when his nadir is, but I've never been able to figure it out on lev.
He's still dropping, and I have to leave now.
I gave a tablespoon of gravy food. I'd rather know he could be too high, than worry all day about hypo.

Susan's here.....I'm off

Hi Barb, I forgot Checkers is on Lev, so different Nadir. That's hard when not certain of the Nadir. Good idea with the gravy and I'm sure Checkers agrees! I would do the same if I were to be gone with a dropping kitty. It is better to be high than worry the whole time you're gone. That's nice with Susan keeping Checkers company, what a nice DD! :-D

Barb I hope you enjoy the birthday party and that Checkers surfs nicely while you are out.

Re: 12/2 Checkers 284 +1/329 +3/181

Checks did fine while I was gone. I came home to a 249. Yellow is better than green if I'm not here.

I didn't mean that Susan was staying with him. She came here, so we could go to the party together.

I'm glad she came, as she found what I will call, chin acne, on Tux. It looks terrible. I feel bad that I didn't see it. I don't scratch under his chin....she does.
Will call vet tomorrow, for him.

I've cleaned it with warm water on cotton balls, and put polysporin on it.

Is there anything else I can do for tonight, in case it's hurting him?

He eats and drinks from ceramic bowls.

Tillie our civie had feline acne for a long time. We tried all kinds of dry food and it helped a little. When she started eating canned food like Zener, her skin problems have pretty much gone away. I thought Susan was stayin with Checkers and I couldn't figure out why she wasn't going to the party.

Re: 12/2 Checkers pmps 322

Looks like I overdid the carbs this morning. Or it's just Checkers thinking he looks hot in pink.

Tux is very slowly starting to think wet food's not so bad. He used to get diarrhea from it. He still eats more dry tho, and seems to be okay, tummy wise.
I cleaned the chin with diluted peroxide, then rinsed with warm water. I don't want to damage his skin further, but want the bacteria cleaned off. It looks ugly and swollen.

Re: 12/2 Checkers pmps 322

I've never done it, but my vet has told me that you can use Stridex pads on a kitty's chin when they have breakouts. Mario and Trix both used to get chin acne...now that I think about it, though, they've both stopped having that issue....and I don't really know why.

I'm glad Checks did well for you today!!

Hi Barb thanks for stopping by our condo, today has been hard but I appreciate your support. Glad u got to get out & party! :) I know all too well about being out & wondering how they r doing when we are not there. When dh & I are both working I worry endlessly! Re: 12/2 Checkers pmps 322

Hey dear ones!!! Looks like Checks is doing well & you too--Is it your DGD's birthday again?
Hope you all are well, we were pretty shell shocked for a while, but getting better now..
Moonie always got chin acne, & actually has it now..Use a drop of Hibiclens(antibacterial & antimicrobial soap) just a drop & my vet gave me Oxydex which cleared it up right away..Stridex may work, just do it twice a day & it will go away...
Missed you a lot--Hugs & Love from us! :-D
