Morning friends,

Another blue morning for Zeus... I'll take it :smile: I got a just barely pink at +5 and decided that was Zeus' way of telling me to get some sleep. So, I don't know if the blue was a dropping number or a rising number. I do know that I feel yucky today, I think I might be coming down with that awful cold that everyone seems to have. Will head out to the grocery store for my grandmothers answer to all ailments, gingerale and chicken soup, :lol: Gosh, I miss her.

I finally got to talk to the Vet yesterday about Smokey's thyroid BW, he said to cut her meds in half and watch her. Nothing about retesting her BW, I asked. I have to monitor her behavior and her weight. Smokey gained a little over a pound since we started the meds! But he wants her to gain a bit more (but without seeing her, I don't know if he remembers which cat Smokey is). She could stand a little more padding on her back, but she is pretty solid around the ribs and still has a belly... She has had the belly since she was a kitten, if she could swing it around onto her back she'd be perfect, LOL.

Everything else is good in Zeusland and Smokeyville. The kitties had food, meds, used their boxes and went btb. Smart kitties.

Morning nice amps this morning! Glad Zeus let you catch some zzzzzz's! I hope you are not getting this awful cold because it really sucks, been dealing with it for a week now and I am still not over it!! Hope Grandma's remedies work!!
Hahaha on swinging Smokies belly around, wish I could do that with Scrabble he has a belly but is really bony on top!

Hi Kathie, Nice start for Zeus today! I hope he has a great cycle today. It's nice he gave you a "go to sleep momma" ticket last night. It sounds like a good report for Smokey. dancing_cat .. :lol: Swing her tummy around to her back :lol:
I hope you feel better. If you have to, flirt with that cold, but don't catch it ;-) I know your Gram will be watching you today and help you to get better with her chicken soup and ginger ale.

Nice start for Zeus this morning. I hope he gives you a blue/green surf today. I hope you aren't catching the cold that's going around.

My cat Callie has Hyper-T. My vet always told me to come back in 6 weeks for bloodwork each time the dose is changed to see if the change is working. You may want to follow-up with your vet about getting a bloodwork follow-up done. We seem to have a good dose worked out now, but when she had too high a dose, she was always sleeping (more than normal) and when she had too low a dose, she was very hyper. I hope you can find the right dose for Smokey soon.

Beautiful start for Zeus today. It is hard to know, after getting a pink mid cycle what that amps really reflects. Mannie does that to me all the time... I'm just glad I guess that I see a good start. :roll:

I lie your gram's remedy for anything - sounds like mine. Sometimes I think the old tried and true methods work the best. I hope you can avoid that nasty cold that is going around. I rarely get sick, but somehow managed to catch this one. Seems so many beans are battling it. I hope you feel better soon.

Good luck with Smokey. I'm with Carla - just seems logical that one would need to monitor the levels - kinda similar to Mannie's hypertension/ BP issue - I have to have to rechecked often enough. Good luck on getting the right dose.
