Re: 1/12 Gobbles AMPS 343

How is he doing generally? remember its a good idea to write a few lines in summary of how he is doing. We call it the "whole cat report" so we can get an idea of how he is outside of his BG.. especially as it relates to the 5Ps [purring, playing, peeing (normally), pooping (ditto), and preening], and appetite and thirst. Check out a few other condos to see what people write.

He actually seems more like himself. His ear looks like junkie tracks...poor little guy...I've been putting neosporin w/pain relief after every testing.

Personally I like +2 or +3 because I can see where he is going and decide if I want to get up again or get a good nights sleep.

On your SS where you have all that detail in your right hand column would be the kind of info thats good to put in your condo in your whole cat report even if it refers to yesterday ie yesterday gobby i didn't see gobby groom much but his hair looks nice. I bought a new scale etc..

Nice report on Gobbles!

I usually go with at least 2 tests - a +2ish, and a +4ish. The +2ish gives me an idea if I need to be on alert for a very active cycle, and the +4ish confirms whether or not I need to set my alarm to check on things during the night.

Yeah, their poor little ears...what troopers they are, right?

Have a great evening!

The neosporin is good. Do you also apply gentle pressure for 15 to 20 seconds? That seems to help Zener's ears, although he doesn't like it much.  Zener was quite the diver and bouncer for awhile so we started getting a +1 and would give him carbs if he had dropped from the PS. Lately though, the +1 is always up so we get a +2 and give him carbs if he drops a lot. We are trying to prevent the steep drops which can lead to bouncing. After we see the +2, then we decide when the next test should be.
