Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. He polished off all his nighttime food at some point and was raring to go this morning, galloping down the stairs and hopping up onto his test spot on the couch. We had a good test, good shot, first sitting of breakfast of Wellness Turkey and FF T&G, a schmooze, a second sitting of breakfast, and now a nap in his little bed by the radiator.

I didn't go on the long ski at Great Camp Santanoni (and I'm regretting it already: it is only -2 this morning and expected now to get up into the teens). Oh well, the snow is icy and not great, so perhaps I made the right decision (the other people are much better skiers than I). This afternoon Edward and I will snowshoe in the VIC at Paul Smiths. Next month, on the Presidents' Day Weekend, the Great Camp will be open again, so maybe some of us will do the ski then. Today work begins on the Ice Palace for the village's Winter Carnival. Guys will be out on the lake cutting blocks of ice with chain saws. Hopefully the ice is thick enough and no one will go through! Carnival begins the first weekend of Feb.

We expect to be watching the Inauguration later this morning. My grand-niece, who worked on President Obama's campaign with other young people at her college, will be attending one of the Balls. How exciting that will be for her!

Wishing everyone a good day. Sending healing vines, good thoughts, and snowflakes to all kitties and beans in need of some.

Hi guys .. very nice start to the morning rusty, no wonder he was so happy to get tested! Sorry to hear you are regretting not going skiing, but I am sure there will be other chances .. enjoy your snowshoeing! It sounds like your carnival is much like the one we have in Frankenmuth here .. people from all over the world come to sculpt ice sculptures .. it is very cool to see .. have a great day guys!

Re: 1/21 Rusty AMPS 107

Morning Ella, Yay for Rusty! Putting on the board shorts, waxing up and ready to go... Rats that the snow is not good for your skiing today. But better safe than sorry and the snowshoe afternoon sounds fun.

How exciting for your grand niece !! I'm sure she'll have a great time. I hope she can be there long enough to take in some of the sights.

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

Woo HOO on that amps - the Lagoon Meister is ready to assume his duties, and I expect he will be there shortly. Sounds like he is having a great morning. GO RUSTY!!!

Bummer on not going on your ski today, but it sounds like you made the right decision. Sometime bad snow can really not be good. At least you and Edward will be out this afternoon for a snowshoe. :-D

YAY on the ice palace! Do you ever spend time watching the build it? I hope all will go well wit it this year. I think I remember last year they had problems with not enough ice.

Enjoy your day today!

Re: 1/21 Rusty AMPS 107

Morning Ella, nice report on our LagoonMeister. I think you made the right decision, as you kept going back and forth on it. And thinking of the ice factor and how easy it would be to slip. Very exciting for your grand niece today. Have a great day, lots going on there in your town. Hugs from us.

Re: 1/21 Rusty AMPS 107

It looks like rusty is poised to going to the green Magoon today.

I'm sorry you didn't get to go on your ski excursion, I know that you were looking forward to it. I hope you have an enjoyable time snowshoeing this afternoon.

Have a great day.

Hi again,

We are sending tons of healing vines to Linda's Pinkerton this evening. I have been thinking about him all day. I hope that the surgery will be successful and the recuperation not too stressful for the little guy. Linda needs her little "study buddy" to help with her homework and papers.

As it turned out, no one from our group skied at the Great Camp today. Hopefully we can make another attempt on Presidents' Day Weekend. Edward and I and another couple did a nice snowshoe in the woods at the VIC. It was cold, but not windy, so very comfortable. Today was the warmest it is going to be all week (the high was 14).

Rusty must have slept all afternoon while we were out: all of his lunch was still in his dish. He enjoyed his "hairball gel treat" and his +9 snack and later ate a good dinner. He has great numbers again today. The LagoonMeister is in residence!

To visit some condos now,

Ella & Rusty

Rusty's skin must be very wrinkled, spending so much time in the lagoon.

Hi Ella......what a beautiful day for Rusty.
I'm glad you got to go snowshoing today. It was a lovely snow here. It came straight down, softly...no wind. :-D

Have a lovely evening, probably watching Inaugural balls
