Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. He polished off all his nighttime food at some point and was raring to go this morning, galloping down the stairs and hopping up onto his test spot on the couch. We had a good test, good shot, first sitting of breakfast of Wellness Turkey and FF T&G, a schmooze, a second sitting of breakfast, and now a nap in his little bed by the radiator.
I didn't go on the long ski at Great Camp Santanoni (and I'm regretting it already: it is only -2 this morning and expected now to get up into the teens). Oh well, the snow is icy and not great, so perhaps I made the right decision (the other people are much better skiers than I). This afternoon Edward and I will snowshoe in the VIC at Paul Smiths. Next month, on the Presidents' Day Weekend, the Great Camp will be open again, so maybe some of us will do the ski then. Today work begins on the Ice Palace for the village's Winter Carnival. Guys will be out on the lake cutting blocks of ice with chain saws. Hopefully the ice is thick enough and no one will go through! Carnival begins the first weekend of Feb.
We expect to be watching the Inauguration later this morning. My grand-niece, who worked on President Obama's campaign with other young people at her college, will be attending one of the Balls. How exciting that will be for her!
Wishing everyone a good day. Sending healing vines, good thoughts, and snowflakes to all kitties and beans in need of some.
