Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty woke us up in the middle of the night with a "hairball" hack and lots of stomach gurgling, but no hairball. He then got up and ate some of his nighttime food (he finished his food just before AMPS). This morning he ran downstairs for his test and shot, but since he had just eaten, he simply went to his little bed by the radiator. So I'm certain that his AMPS is food-influenced and will watch him carefully today. Fortunately the wilderness snowshoe hike I had planned to go on was cancelled owing to a winter weather advisory with snow, sleet and freezing rain. (Yep, our string of bitter cold weather has come to an end; Wednesday it is supposed to be in the 50s!!!).

We're having the same weather these days, and it must bring furballs with it, because Simon's working on one too :lol:
He's in the lagoon, anticipating Rusty's arrival ;-)

Morning guys sorry about the weather warming up lol that sounds funny! Nice start for Rusty especially with it being food influenced. Hope he can get that hair all out! Have a great Monday!

Hi guys .. nice low blue for rusty .. I hope if he is working on a hairball he get's it up soon .. it's awful hearing them cough it up for days! We also have the freezing rain on top of snow this morning, and 50's later in the week .. crazy! Have a great day guys!

I guess I took the snow today... we are supposed to get it later this afternoon.

This must be hairball monday.... Did I miss the holiday announcement on the calendar? ;-) Everyone seems to be having the same issue today.
Shadow just sat on me and gave one to me down my lap.... right after her breakfast. :o :-x

Hope Rusty sees some green today!

Rusty looks good today, Ella! Way to go Rusty!

Weather...man oh man we got freezing rain here. Ride to work was done cautiously, to say the least. Best you guys stay home where you will be safe and warm if that comes your way! Take care!

WOW, nice amps for Rusty! Even with food on board - way to go Rusty. :-D One has to love those middle of the night hariball hacks. Elsa does it all the time...

Bummer on the cancellation of your wilderness snowshoe hike - but better safe than sorry I guess. WOW on the winter weather advisory with snow, sleet and freezing rain: not good. hard to believe on the pending 50's! Can we think spring is coming?

Sorry to hear that you're having bitterly cold weather. Texas is unusually warm for this time of year as it is. I'd like to see some colder weather so that it'll kill off some of these nasty bugs. I saw a mosquito in the barn this morning buzzing around my horse's mane while she was eating. Naturally, mosquito got gone pretty quick. :lol: Have a great you 2! :-D

Good morning Ella. A food influenced low blue number is great. No doubt he'll be at the green lagoon again today.

Sorry your wilderness snowshoeing Hike was cancelled but it sounds like it was for best.

Morning Ella, sorry the snowshoe hike was cancelled. I hope another one will be scheduled soon. Not a bad AMPS for a food spike. Tell the LagoonMeister to hurry up and get on down to the Green Lagoon. Simon and Mags are waiting. Have a good Monday.

The LagoonMeister is on duty. He's had a good morning, which included a schmooze with his mamabean and a "progressive" breakfast (two venues; starting in his usual spot in the kitchen and continuing on a placemat in the livingroom, where he has taken to eating since the cold weather made the kitchen too cold for the big fella!!). He just enjoyed lunch, so he has good appetite today. We also had a nice combing (he was very vocal about requesting it; I hope that is what he wanted, but in any event, he enjoyed it). No sign of a hairball.

Edward and I are about to go out for a walk in the snow, which is quite heavy but has not yet changed to sleet.

Hi Ella, What a job ....as always.... from Rusty. I'm sorry he's having to work on that darn old hairball.. I hope that's out and done soon.
I'm sorry your snowshoe was cancelled, but you and Edward must have had a good time anyway! How can temperatures go from snow and freezing rain to that warm almost overnight? Too odd. I hope it's a wonderful night for all of you! mary and oliver

Hi Ella......what a lovely day for Rusty. I hope he gets that hairball up soon. I always wondered how a cat even knows there is a hairball to get rid of. :?:

Hope you and Edward enjoyed the walk. For us, it was treacherous just walking over to the mailbox. It was melting and refreezing all day. Can't wait 'til Wed..50°.....then back to cold again.

Sorry you are missing out on some winter fun because of a storm, and UGH on those warm temps later in the week. :evil:

Great pic of the bookends, Liz! Rusty is having a bounce, and I gave an "ouchie" shot tonight (but it all went in before he pulled away). Not sure what the weather will be like tomorrow. An 8.5-mile ski over some ponds and carries on one of our summer canoe routes is planned. So far it has not been cancelled. Our little walk today was no fun: slippery and sloppy, warm and cold at the same time, very damp and penetrating. I'm glad the snowshoe was cancelled!
