3/14 Logan AMPS 302, +6 347, PMPS 364

Late opening Logan's condo - had a pretty lazy day. Hard to get moving when it's my only day off! Logan is still being fussy. He acts hungry but doesn't really want to eat. I think he feels bad but the stimulant is making him hungry. He's snuggled some today, though. At one point, Niam (drooler) was snuggled up with me and Logan just climbed on top of him. He ended up with his butt on Niam's head. :lol:

We'll be posting his PMPS in a little while. I'm guessing he'll be close to 400 but maybe he'll surprise me. I knew that 302 meant he'd be going up today. I'll try to get a spot check in tonight when I get up with him around +5 or +6.

I hope you are feeling a bit better tonite, and please try to eat a bit.

it's so tough to eat when you don't feel like it, but I was glad to hear he's snuggling with the drooler, even if it means flopping his butt on the drooler's head.

Let's hope the evening goes gentle for everyone.

He didn't make it as high as I thought he would. He ate fairly well - had to put some catnip on the food and then some dry core. Hopefully, we'll figure out a new plan of action for him this week. I don't think his internist works Mondays (must be nice) but I'll call and see.

He's snuggled in his bed now. He'll be happy until pill time!

Very nice to hear he's eaten a bit, even if trickery was required. Sometimes, if it works, you have to do it, but you already know that to be sure!
It's also good to hear that his numbers did not go as high as you feared.

Those are two positives, even if small ones.
It could be much worse, so how wonderful that it is not!

Are the pills a very big issue with Logan? Do you use laughing cow or something to get them down? Whatever your method, hopefully they will be down quickly.

Good to have a lazy day Kelly and get recharged for another week.
Even with the appy stimulant in it is good that he ate, however you can get it done.
Mr. Logan is still working hard so hoping a turnaround or new plan of action
is coming very soon.

I hope the IM doc has some wisdom to offer. You are doing a fantastic job and I can only imagine how frustrating this all is. I do have to admit that the image of Logan snoozing with his butt on Niam's head was just too cute!

They've become an issue. He's never been too bad to pill, but he's sick of them at this point and is really fighting me. The Metro dissolves as soon as it gets wet and it tastes nasty. So, I buy gelcaps and put the Metro and TMP into one gelcap. I wet the gelcap and pill him - I then give him a few spoonfuls of baby food to make sure the pill goes down. I can't use cheese - vomit city. I was putting the pred into pill pockets but he's onto that - won't even eat an empty one now. So, that's going into the gelcap, as well. He's so sick of pills and so am I. :cry: I feel like he hates me!

Ugly +4 - 398. Could all of this resistance be caused by the pred? Or does it appear that he has something else (like he needed another something else) going on?

Kelly, what about cheese? I think some others hide things inside bits of Laughing Cow soft cheese.
With Shadoe getting to be a pro at hiding then spitting pills, even the teeny bits of pepcid, I took to mashing the 1/4 tab and hiding it all inside a bit of cheese. She likes the cheese so it worked.
The cheese I got were the little party cubes so that most of the cheeses stay wrapped and not spoiling.
If Logan likes and is allowed to eat the cheese, maybe you can try some soft cheese as a new pill hidey spot.

He can't have cheese. He's highly allergic to any dairy. Just the tiniest speck will make him vomit up the entire contents of his stomach. It's awful! :sad:
