Good Evening, Everyone,

Rusty and Edward had a nice day together, but it was a HOT one (near 90 degrees). Rusty spent a lot of time napping both indoors (in front of the fan) and outdoors (in the shade).

My climb up Ampersand Mt. was challenging. Hot, humid weather, but the bugs weren't as bad as the other day. The trail, however, was very steep and rocky, with some practically vertical places to clamber up. The summit, however, was worth it: 360 degree panorama of the High Peaks and all of the lakes and rivers in the area. It was hazy, but still grand. The summit was very windy, and that felt good after the sweltering climb. I had 72 ounces of water with me, as well as 16 ounces of Gatorade and I drank it all!! And when I got home drank another large bottle of Gatorade and ate pretzels. I'll post pics tomorrow.

We are saddened to see on the board this evening that Emperor Karre is going to the Bridge tomorrow. Fly free, sweet guy and land softly. Many friends are waiting for you.

So tired and still feeling the heat of the day, so I'll be taking most of the evening off. Back briefly later.

Hope all is well in LL.

Hi Ella......I'm glad you had a tiring, but good, hike today. Looks like a wonderfully flat day for Rusty :-D

Rest well tonight.....you deserve it.
